STRAIGHT FROM SUBCON (that's Cevan Cay's Label) :happydance

How about a real update !

The new LP is about nearly finished. I would estimate that we are 70% finished mixing with Ken Marshall.

Lp sleeve design is in the hands of Steven R Gilmore. Label is SPV.

Looking forward to this hitting the shelves early 2007 with large tour to follow.

There has been some talk of a secret live show coming up on Halloween.

Can't deny that.

There's talk of subcon releasing a VAULT 2 series.? Also true.

This is currently in the works, so keep your heads up to this limited edition set that will feature a few gems, and a new Download LP this fall.

Yes also true if there is a LA based video student who wishes to intern with subconscious kindly contact us at ckey@sbcglobal.net

We have a interest in compiling the many archived video tapes we own to be made into a CD/DVD as part of the vault 2 series

For the Filmakers /game and dance companies the skinny puppy production crew has formed "scaremeister". A new company that will focus on scoring, sound design music licensing, and remixes. A website is currently being designed and a cool demo reel of the scaremeister wiil be available shortly there.

hope this answers a few questions....

Those interested in making a pre-reservation for a VAULT 2 subsciption can email here at ckey@sbcglobal.net. (this series will be numbered and signed)

NEW SKINNY PUPPY ALBUM REVEALED

We've all been waiting for the news. Today a new forumite Elektron posted a listing of the new album from this German music site. cEvin Key has confirmed that this is the real deal. So for you people who aren't reading the forum daily (and lord knows why you aren't) let me take great pleasure in the privlege of revealing Mythmaker:::

Skinny Puppy: Mythmaker

There are still many questions to be answered. Note that the full title isn't present on the above image, leading many to guess that this isn't the complete sleeve. The aforementioned website lists a January 15th release date. Perhaps this means a January 16th (i.e. the normal Tuesday) U.S. release date. Are those the final song titles? What is the significance of the title? What guests are on the album? All of these things will surely become clearer in the coming weeks of anticipation. But just in case you were holding out, unsure as to whether to let yourself get excited, well my friends, once again I get to say that it's a great time to be a fan.

Update:::11/16, 9:43am: Remission discovered that MusicNonStop also has a listing for the album here, including a larger version of the cover (now posted above) and a January 29th release date. Here, in English, is the accompanying blurb:::

Returning after 2004's redefining and revolutionary "The Greater Wrong Of The Right" ( an album that caused several bands included in the same breath as Skinny Puppy to collectively marvel at their audacious reinvention of the Industrial music genre ) the iconic Vancouver duo of Ogre ( voice ) and cEvin Key ( synthesizers / electronics / percussion ) ably assisted by Mark Walk ( and a host of others ) return with "Mythmaker" - perhaps their most ambitious and adventurous album : As dark, twisted, beautiful and aggressive as ever, Skinny Puppy take the listener on a roller coaster ride through their unique aural onslaught of Industrial, Techno and Noise. Now even more contemporary and relevant, over 20 years into their existence Skinny Puppy prove they have more bite and continue to shine brighter than ever...
