penanceandpain
Hell-o my name is Linzy i'm brand new to this forum...... I started this in hopes of meeting many like minded people. Unfortunatley I live in an area where i'm one of the few. So that dosen't leave much for me in the friends/love dept.....Or people who are one the same brain wave really. I attend City Club from time to time but i'm a bit on the shy side when in person. So if anyone is interested in chatting with me and getting to know me i'd be more then willing to talk. This whole hermitt/shy/no friends thing is kinda getting boring lol.
Hellion
:devil I completely understand where you come from,I used to live in an area that was just too conforming for me, and I really never socialized with many people.
Onyx
I can relate Try living in ultra-conservative West Michigan for awhile. (On second thought, I wouldn't wish that on anyone, heh heh). This board is a great place to make friends and get to know people. There's usually a group of DGN folks gathered to the right of the bar at city club. Before you know it you'll know a bunch of people to talk to when you go. Welcome.

Gothmama25
I tend to be very shy in person as well. Just let me know when your going to city club and I will chat with you so you don't have to be by yourself.

Homicidalheathen
Just one question though to all of you. If soemone doesn't like bars, doesn't drink....how do they hang out with us? You know? We NEED a coffee shop night!
Head Wreck
noooooo coffee shops should be regarded as they were in the 19th century, the same as opium dens are viewed now. tea houses FTW
Onyx
Hmmm... I don't think I've ever even seen a tea house. Do they exist on this side of the ocean? I never drink and I still have a great time at City Club. I'd love it if we had another meeting place and time though. Maybe Friday nights somewhere? It wouldn't have to be an actual DGN event, could just be an informal thing.

Marblez
Drugs are bad. With that said I was semi-social when I went to City. It was actually Marblez that "recruited" me to the board. I went from knowing 5 people when I went up there (mainly existing friends that went with or met up there) to knowing well over 30 people. Of those people I'm happy to know each and everyone of them. Each person brings something new to the table and I love hearing different view points. City was the first "club/bar/whatever" that I've ever been in where I held a conversation about Cisco Routers for 2 hours, then turned around and talked about sex toys and bondage for another hour. It's freakin great to have such diversity in one place! Well, that's my 3 cents. Hope to see you at the club! I remember bugging and bugging you about it too Wow, that was a long time ago. Reaper
I have been thinking about going out to have coffee later in the night after work lately. Been having more times at home without worrying about going out overnight on a run. Might be more possible now that I may become a terminal manager at my Taylor terminal. As for Penance, I used to live in jackson for a long time, and then over in Manchester for most of the rest of the time. So your living 10 minutes away from Brooklyn must put you near Napoleon or Clark Lake area. Used to hang out a lot on the drag of Michigan Avenue where most people would cruise the ave. Ah the old days.

Hey there are a decent few of us up in the Lasning area including myself that are regulars at Necto and City if the urge comes calling. I also do a lot of driving for shows and what not and as long as your not insane in a bad way your always invited along. I relate to the shy thing in person, that is unless I'm at the bottom of a pitcher of Guniess and well then things might be a bit diferent... PM me anytime and we'll chat, plan to go out with friends or what ever else fits your fancy. TLS

Ah the old days. As a matter of Fact I do know where all that is.....Crazy to actually hear somone knows all those places (and unfortunate haha). I live in Michigan Center to be exact. Seeing as you know all those small hick towns i'm sure your aware of where Center is lol. I'm hoping to get out of this town though soon....It's going under majorly. So bad in fact even our newspaper is going under and laying tons of people off. Not to mention the chances of me finding like minded people in this town is slim to none. As much as I like the fact that the things I enjoy are underground, (which makes it all seem much more personal). It at times gets aggravating.
