These have been around since the 50's,and they still prescribe them, despite the danger of interactions with certain vitamins in foods that contain an enzyme called(amine)also OTC drugs,like ephedrine,and caffiene, and some pain relievers. However, they can be a wonderful alternative to being utterly depressed for the right person. Limiting your diet and feeling OK can be a good trade-in for some folks.
