Paper Hearts
I was named after Paul McCartney and when I was very young, my mother disclosed that too me with a warning that I should never relay that information to my dad. I could blackmail my mom or something, I presume, but, I don't really like my father (because he's a bastard). I didn't name my daughter after anyone, I just picked a name that seemed very movie star-esque, because I was just all about that, at the time...her name is Chloe` Simone (and I wont post our surname name because I know how you people are). Anyway, what I was wondering is, would anyone else like to bore everyone with the story of where their name comes from?
Rayne
My name is boring. I'm told I was named after my parents. My middle name makes sense, since it's my dad's name ... but my first is nowhere near my mothers name. My kids weren't named after anyone in particular. Well, my oldest daughter's middle name was my best friends middle name at the time, she was my best friend for a very long time, but I doubt I'll ever tell anyone that. LuluVox
Hrmph, it's not very interesting, I'm afraid. I'm Amanda Marie, I have the same initials as my grandfather, Atchison Morris. He was kind of a creep, so I don't really know why they decided to honor him that way. Or maybe they just didn't have very high hopes for me. Yes, I'm in a highly dramatic mood today and have decided to enjoy it. Oh, and speaking of Paul McCartney, I thought his name was Palma Cartney until I was like 5, much to the delight of my sister; I think she laughed at me for an entire day. Shade Everdark
Christopher was the only name my parents could agree on for a male, so it was pretty much that or nothing, for the two of them. Loren, my middle name, is my father's name.
BrassFusion
Name's Gary. hehehe... j/k, it's Erin Marie. Marie's probably the most common girl's middle name forever and ever and I'm not sure why. Prolly everyone likes the way stupid french names sound but don't have the balls to actually give their kid a french name.

I like that you followed my lead and did not quip something about the name "Ringo"; that did not go unappreciated.

Soulrev
My name has nothing special to it. Unless you count the fact that I share the same first and last name as Marilyn Manson. However, I do have 3 middle names. In full, Brian Roy John Marshall Warner.... My parents couldn't decide on 1 middle name so they gave me the names of my dad's father, my mother's grandfather, and my dad's grandfather (which is also my dad's name) - all in that order. edit- Also, in Chinese culture it's believed the more names you give your child, the more loved they are. This was one of their reasons for my ridiculously long name. And my sister only has one middle name - HA!

mallochai
My parents were never very clear on why my first name is Anna. Nobody in either side of my family has the same name. My mom's name is Donna, so I guess it's kind of similar, but uh... whatever. My middle name is Marie. They wanted to name me after both of my grandmothers, but Anna Mary sounded too religious, so I got the juvey twist on that one. Actually, my brother got an interesting name with family relations. My fathers name is Robert Sayers, and my middle brothers name is Robert Sayer. Family name. We're descentdents of this guy, otherwise known as the Saint of the Wilderness. Oh, and there's a movie. Msterbeau
I'm not sure why I got the name Marc. Probably because my parents realized fairly quickly after my older brother was born that Francois is not a good name to have in the US. (Pronounciation-wise, anyways.) My middle name is my maternal grandfather's.

Interesting, because one of my grandmothers was from Quebec and her given name was Minnie and she changed her name to, yes, Marie, becuase she thought she was too French seeming, here. I don't understand it either.
