Please Read This If You Care About Kids

Recommended Posts

I went to my local grocery store late this afternoon.

I was walking down the row of the parking lot where I parked.

I looked over to my left and saw a car parked in a spot.

This car had 4 young kids inside, Alone.

I went inside the store and did my small bit of shopping and 2 minutes after I checked out and was walkin back out to my truck, I looked back at that car.

A woman, the kids' mother came back to the car.

She left her kids alone inside her car while she went inside the store and did some grocery shopping.

As I was leaving, I heard one of the kids ask the mom, what took you so long ? the mom said, I had to get the groceries.

PLEASE if you care about kids, are a parent, or know someone who is, if you see kids left alone in a car in a parking lot, with no adults in the car, PLEASE CALL THE COPS ASAP.

I'm very upset with myself because I didnt call the cops.

I do believe it is against the law in most states for a parent to leave a child in a car unattended.

A lot of people have this bizarre idea that "the oldest can take care of the others"- even if the oldest is only in first grade. We very often see middle school & even upper-el kids miss a lot of school because they're kept home to care for younger siblings. I swear my cats took beter care of their kittens than a lot of humans take of their children.

Oh you bet I'd call the cops immediately.

And if it's at the mall, get mall security on hand as well.

Regardless of their age, if they're not old enough to stay home by themselves or not old enough to drive their own car..... either they stay at home with a sitter or they come with me.

><!!
