Sake Sucks!

sake comes in many different quality levels.... like the difference between Dom and "cityclub rot gut new years 6oz champaigne bottles"

it is very easy to get boons' farm quality sake... and not know you wasted your money until you try it...

also, mixing up wether your sake is supposed to be hot or cold can also affect the taste and if you like it or not.

Sake and Guiness are the only two drinks I know of that if you don't like them, the people that do look down on you. It’s like they think your beverage choice has real bearing on who you are as a person.

It’s fermented rice… someone stopped halfway to making vodka and called it good. Ok, I suppose not being able to figure out how to distill it makes someone special.

Ah, you forget the original beverage snobs - wine drinkers.

Kidding aside, sake is certainly an acquired taste. I'd venture to say it's also something that is appreciated more by those who also enjoy some of the small rituals surrounding it.

^ What he said.

I tried sake for the first time in the Japanese restaurant in Epcot Center in Disney World. I loved it. Still love it. Gotten pretty hammered pretty quickly off of that shit. Definitely best served hot. I know some people like it hot or cold or room temperature.
