i see, and point taken. still as a general guideline, it will benefit everyone to announce whether or not a post is meant as a joke. in this case, it appears neither stated such, which is why people took offense.

The gang mentality is very frustrating and counterproductive when trying to get at "the truth".

Becasue somone or something is associated with a particular political party / ethnic group / whatever does not make them automaticly right or automaticly wrong. Nor does it mean they all have identical thoughts about broad subject ranges.

From a historical standpoint we all know this isnt totally meant as a joke.
