Just Curious If There Are Any 'cutters' On Here ?

I am sorry and I might be rude saying this but wtf? Art? Bodily harm where people have the chance of going too deep or it not healing right and dieing as the end result is not an art. Tattoos and piercings are an art because they are safe and when done right nothing can go wrong and there is a beauty to it. A kid, in their room, cutting things like the word "Fuck" and such "Hate" into her stomach and chest are not art and no argument in the world will convince me of that. People who cause this form of bodily harm do need help and the faster the better.

I don't think anyone would say that "kid in their room" is doing something artistic. There's a world of difference between that, and scarification that's planned aesthetically and done by someone who has skill, experience, and knowledge of safety precautions. The cutting I used to do belonged to the first category for sure, and I can't see myself ever doing that again. But, someday I would like to have some scarification done professionally, as a way of honoring my West African ancestors... and that will definitely be an artistic thing.

And BTW there's plenty that can go wrong w/tattoos and piercings no matter how carefully or professionally done. I won't go into details but I had major problems w/an allergic reaction to tattoo ink... mind you this was my 8th one, done at the most "upscale" & safety-conscious studio in this area. There are certain risks anytime the skin is broken... they can be minimized quite a bit, but not eliminated entirely.

I dig the few scars that I have, but would never cut. Don't see the thrill in it, not really into pain either. If I have a scar, or get cut I want a story to go with it. Can't really imagine sitting alone and running my KaBar across my forearm, it just doesn't seem right to me. But, whatever anybody decides to do, don't seriously hurt yourselves.

I don't see what people get out of it either. I doubt there's anything one could get out of it that can't be experienced in less dangerous ways.

I'm proud of my scars, too. Even the one I got falling on an empty aquarium in a severely drunken stupor after my 21st birthday party. That's the most prominent one. It's cool because I learned something.

I like knife play especially during sex because it heightens my senses....and makes my adrenaline rush.....but all we do is put it on my skin. There is no skin broken at all. I don't even like cat o' nine tails cause they cut. But the feel of cold steel and having to hold still while at someones mercy is hot for me.

All I'll say is I don't like sharp objects by my skin and it's certainly nothing to get off on. Now it is something to do for self punishment to some of us out there. On rare occasions.

This week in Star Magazine......celeb cutters.

They think Lindsay Lowhan is one now......a pic of her wrist with cuts....

Angelina you know who admitted it.....

So did Fiona Apple.....

And Johnny Depp,

And The late, great Princess Di.

I don't know if it is a good thing or bad thing to publish these.....seems it would only reinforce to young people that its ok and even exceptable......

Sharp objects during sex would make me extrmely paranoid.

In my experience and opinion, if there's question whether it's a good thing or bad thing to make some information public... it's a good thing.

Just because the celebs used to do it doesn't make it OK or acceptable. it does show that it's a condition that is somewhat common but can be overcome, so maybe cutters who read about that won't feel so isolated.
