How Many Years U Been Going To City Club?

I been going since I was 18 they used to serve minors drinks. I been dancing and drinking there 16 yrs and know the owner quite well. I seen him this last saturday we shook hands as usual next time I see him I'm gonna tell him that my best friend (Double H) got hurt in the ladies room. I think I'm the longest going member on here. I didn't start painting my face till I was in my 20s though. I used to sell LSD there and take it back in the day. My hair used to cover half of my face the old flock of seagulls thing. Anyways tell me how long have you been going to LCC?

first went in 1992 when i turned 18. i used to go every friday and saturday back then. my twice a week has since turned into twice a year

I have been going to cc for about 15 years now. Not much has changed there since the first time.

actually, i think a lot has changed.

the music used to be way more diverse (they DID play beastie boys, metallica, other stuff you would not think you would hear at cc), the parking lot was basically broken up rubble and not closed off, the entrance is where the swimming pool used to be, there was a cage (or 2?) for dancing, the walls used to be bare then they were painted then i think they were even painted again someone told me.

the only thing that is exactly the same - the bathroom. that disgusting bathroom. hehe.

besides the music being diverse the people were too. and it was more accepted. now the "diverse" people are just considered "tourists" by the regulars. i don't know when the changes actually occured since there was a long period of time i didn't even go - but when i went back i felt really uncomfortable the first couple of times. where i used to feel like "home" i felt like an outcast because i was certainly not goth enough for city club.

8 1/2 years - I used to go every Friday and Saturday for years. I met my ex-husband there. Now I go almost every Saturday. The place has changed some since I first started going there.

I also remember the small room that used to be near the door that you walked in where you would pay the door guy.

It took me until I was 19 to go, just because I had no friends that went, but I wanted to go since I was 14, so that makes three years (yeeeah I'm young, I know)

Over a span of 15 years, not much has changed. They have done nothing to the place except rearrange some furniture and throw some paint on the wall. Your right about the music though. That has changed and it now pretty much sucks. The people have changed too, but that comes with age and growth. I personally do not think there has been much change to the place.

Hmm... I've been going there just a couple years or so longer than you. And from day one, I don't remember there every being much attendance by people who appeared outside the "goth/punk norm".

Matter of fact, I can recall there being an ever-changing series of stickers and signs on the front door denouncing the evils of flannels, jocks, and the like. :D Even then, khaki was to a CC regular what a crucifix is to a vampire.

The first person who took me there actually coached me on what to wear, so that I'd "fit in" with the crowd so as not to be intimidated my first time out (I was a lot more reserved & shy back then, and appreciated his input).

I have only been going to CC for 5 months. My 1st time was june 24th of this year.
