As I was lying in bed all day with pain in the right side of my head, I pondered a few questions. I'm going to post them all seperate so that I can get answers to each of my questions without too much derailment! =)

What do you do to spiritually energize?

I, too, like others above, step out into nature and let it soak into me.

Or I just sit and think. Similar to Brenda, but it can be sitting in a bath or even doing the dishes.

Sometimes creating a ritual of sorts can help. Pick a symbol or a few that represent spirituality for YOU - can be a crucifix, a candle, a rosary, an ankh, a pentagram, a seashell, a cup of water, etc. Set it out on a cleared, prepared space, sit back and let what happens happen - can be some thought, some meditation, some visualization, "talking" with God/saints/dead relatives, etc.

And this might sound weird coming from a self-proclaimed dual-faith pagan: go to church. It can be a Christian service, or a Wiccan circle - anything. Go with an open mind, and don't announce your presence or seek out the intercession of humans - just sit in a pew, etc. I can go to a Catholic funeral or a Wiccan Samhain circle and get the same sort of spiritual "jolt".

since you two don't feel the need to be spiritually energized, do you not feel as if something is missing from your lives?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I do, but it has nothing to do with spirituality. It has more to do with my place in the world, and the difference I am making in people's lives. But that is a subject for an entirely different thread.

Short answer, since I have never had spirituality, I don't feel like anything is missing.

I hope I wont sound to much like a lecture but this is what I do exactly for a living. (help people re-energize) whether they want to admit it or not it usually starts from spiritual misalignment. So -- when I experienc a 'pain' in the right side of my head it usually means it is due to overload of responsibility oriented stress and i am trying to over analyze it and over rule it as opposed to letting go of the reigns. (not saying) that you do. but right side harbors responsiblity orientd stress left is emotional. what I do is meditate on the color purple ; for instance in the shower i visualize the water is purple and i cleanse with it in purple. The reason for the color purple for one it is associatied with the crown or head and it is one of the highest frequencies also associated with spiritual connection before leaving the physical plane entirely so you can help spiritual connection with mentative activity

I feel the same way you do, shade. I dont really beleive in the spirit of anything, unless it's the "holiday spirit" (like for today)

I was raised in a christian home. Daughter to a paster's Son. Religion and Spirits of the "holy father" have been around me all my life, but shit, i dont feel it, i dont understand it, and i just dont want it.

So basically, whats to energize? *drinks more caffine*

Thats interesting since I usually experience pain in the right side of the head.

Thanks!
