City Club Aftermath, Saturday, March 5th

Recommended Posts

Arrrrrggggg. Upon leaving the bar in Royal Oak that we were getting "primed" at my two esteemed colleagues in debauchery decided to relieve themselves in public. They got busted  , and it turns out that the one friend had a "no proof of insurance" ticket and 4 unpaid parking tickets that were outstanding. Couple that with a new "public urination" ticket, and you have the Tomcat bailing a buddy out at 2 am after dicking around with the 5-O for an hour just to get him bailed out & pay for his past due fines...the mood had passed, and we decided to call it a night. I even had on black underwear... :unhappy:

I't was fun for awhile t'ill when it got around 2 and shit kinda hit the fan

For the fun part- Talked ta some of you dgn'ers, got bittin from left n right got 2 huge hickey's on the side of my neck (hopfully it goes away for my interview) messed around with couple of city virgin's and of course saw my ol friend jason again, for that part everything was all good and I had a good time

For the shitty part- After 2 am apparently some chick walked up to my roomate and took a sip from his beer without his permission plus she was underage, one of the security saw her sipping from the beer and decided ta put the blame on him by making him pay 6$ or get kicked out, at the time I wasnt around but later on I heard from somone that crank might be getting kicked out and I chose to find him ta see wtf's going on, after I found him and told me the whole scoop, he was going litarly nuts, and when he start's acting crazy, theres no stopping him. This is the third time this week somone tried pulling shit on him and now, its starting ta grow really old. *sigh* this is why I miss most of the regulars. we talked things out when we got home and I manage ta get things straightened out once more, I promised him next week things will be better which it should be, im having most of my friends look out for him now just to make sure......I just hope this stuff never happen's again

There was definitely some kind of weird static in the air, conducive to much drama and potential hair-pulling. However, I sliced it in two with my fake smile and razor-sharp wit, and still managed to have a nice night. Drank / danced / smoked (a lot of Troy's cloves and the ones of mine I didn't give away), talked a lot, almost beat up some guy on the dancefloor. Didn't see anyone major whom I didn't want to see. It was good.

Wow. That sucks Tomcat! Lucky guy to have had someone like you along though...

Yeah, I'm a trooper like that. Just sucks that the first time I had "solid" plans to hit up CC, they went down in flames...again. There's always next week, and Nienna will be back.

I ventured out myself and had a pretty good time. Saw some friendly faces, meet some new ones and danced more then usual, though the music was at times a bit off. I kept my drinking under control for once and ended the night with a long sobering drive back to Lansing. All in all a great night all be it, going it alone kind of sucked. Thanks to everyone who said hi and to Troy’s friend for giving up half a pitcher, even if it was bud.

I’ll also second Lulu observation about the weird vibe in the air. The club was really packed and their just seemed to be that feverous spring time aura floating around. Lot of overly friendly people and some with just the wrong attitudes but still City Club is always an adventure.

Hope to see you guys back again soon.

I had a good time. There were some irritations , like there is pretty much ever-single-time i've ever been to any social situation for longer than about 3 hours. Im sure i could find things to complain about , and usually the irritations stick in the memory over the nice things, but , overall i had fun.

I try to make my good time, not allow the fates to decide if im going to have a good time or not for me. Otherwise i would have a shit time, every day , all day, at any and all outings. Developing a group of non-asshole friends and hanging within that core helps a bit but the fates will still try and foil you. I had a good time despite you bastages!! As usual!! HA! *shakes fist at the fates* YEAH YOU!!

I remember having a very serious conversation (not a romantic conversation) with a woman (mid 30s?) semi curly, very long black hair and she put her email & phone number in my pocket , and i cant read the writing , its to "fuzzy" (pencil smuged now after being in my pocket i guess). If your reading this please contact me im a bit worried about you.

Did i see bpage? I swore i saw her for a sec or something, but it boggles me that i could go through a whole night without really "meeting" her, due to her once-every-six months (if that) apperances.

I had several highlights (a few of which i wouldnt be confortable posting about) of the evening, but one nice one was some random friend-of-a-friend who i never saw before, and have no idea what her name was ,l eaned over to me (i was sitting down, she standing up) and she said "you have a lot of nice friends". Sappy? Fuck that. It was cool i like cute stuff like that. =)

I was glad to see everyone that i did. Hope to see as many as possible again next week.

Sorry if anybody was not able to locate me. Thanks to construction, a closed I-96, and a slightly extended short nap I didn't arrive until about 12:30. It seems Detroit and the LCC plumbing had thawed just enough for people to brave the trek downtown. It was noticeably crowded last night. I almost managed to stay until close, but I couldn't find enough energy to remain for the final 3 minutes.

Sightings:

Troy - Fashionably late and fashionably drunk thanks to my Jager Bomb. Thanks for finishing that. You probably saved me from one nasty headache and hangover.

The Lord Shaper - No helmet and no gloves made it unusually hard to identify you! ...that and my low alcohol tolerance.

Luluvox - Swirly and highly entertaining as usual. You left about 5 minutes before the music got much better!

Nodrew - I owe you about 500 cigs. Ok, how about one pack?

Bpage - Always a pleasure to chat with you. Thanks for dropping in to DGN and Detroit to make sure we haven't blown up or imploded.

Disturbed Mania - Has an uncanny ability to locate and bring in CC virgins with vampiric tendencies.

Shade Everdark - Interesting and unexpected clothing coordination with his g/f. It was too sexy!

Dark Chylde - Speaking of vampires, I hope your neck clears up for the job interview. (It was not of my doing, you perverts.)

This space reserved - for anybody I forgot... sorry!

Also many non-DGNers were chatted up, but I'm sure that will change soon. All shall be converted!

oh fuck, i forgot to do my sightings breakdown. I plead the 5th for this last saturday though, as i know im going to get several "WTF troy why are you asking me who i am we met last week??" looks , next week. I do have fairly decent excuse(s) for that though if nessisary. =)

Jarod how did you know i was late? i actually thought you got there AFTER me , i was , indeed late, due to ride complications (must have been almost 1am) but i didnt see you until even later than that. heh

Oh lord. I've been declared a swirly goth.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

You had a few swirly moments last night. I didn't mean to imply your swirliness was a permanent state.

...you told me you were late. :) I was on my second drink and, unless that was your second pitcher of beer, all signs point to me getting there first.

It's good ta know that the rest of y'all had a good time, next week when im there things should be alot better and this time im'a make sure that my anti-drama-guard is fully up and operational. Apparently the hick's are still there but it's gone away a little but still highly noticable, but the good news is my job interview was re-scheduled t'ill next week due to all the fuck up's in paper work, which by then my neck should fully be healed up.

argh. I am so exhausted lately. Saturday night I was sooo tired and laid down for a quick nap at around 10, slept right through til 2 a.m., so didn't make it out. :(

Sorry I missed it. I was really wanting to get out and about.

Didn't get there until 1:15ish due to a dinner party earlier. Damn, that place was packed, and packed up until the last minute also.

Yes Troy, you saw me and chatted for a wee bit also

Jarod, it was nice chatting with you :cat:

LuLu, met you for a brief moment, you were looking lovely :wink :

Shade, exchanged greetings, your hands were full with that lovely lady escorting you :innocent:

If I missed anyone, sorry! I was on my fourth day of constant drinking ( I had to keep my self warm somehow, damn Michigan snow and cold)

Didn't notice any "weirdness" going around, just a damn large amount of people.

See y'all in about 6 more months :fear:
