Foot-in-mouth Disease.

Yeah. The other day I was told by my supervisor that a few other people at work think I'm the type of person that would show up at work with a gun if I truly cracked. Because I have a stern and serious demeanor at work. What kind of shit is that to say to a person's face? I'm there to make a few dollars, not be everybody's little snuggle-buddy. This is not the first of dumb things the man has blurted out loud, especially about the people working there. Glad the 23rd is my last day.

Anybody hear any good ones.

(I'm also afflicted by this every once and a while, but anti-fungal creams, good hygiene, and keeping my damned mouth shut have helped me tremendously. If you ever need me to clear out a wedding reception I charge $100 an hour. I usually need only one hour, but some people are either thick skinned or overly polite.)

The other day my store manager lied right to a customer about what the extended warranty covered, while I was standing there. But once the manager left me to do my job, the customer (smarty smarty) actually READ the warranty agreement and it directly contradicted what the store manager had told him.

At least *I* didn't look stupid, but they'll probably never shop there again.

And Brad... =) You do strike me as the sort who may, on an off day, bring an assault rifle in and take out DGN. =D

"I'll bet you anything, that while you're watching a quiet one, a noisy one will fucking kill you!" George Carlin.

Yeah, I know, I'm not always peaches and cream. I'm more of an antisocial motherfucker with a heart of gold.

It is kind of a dumb thing to make assumptions, or judge people based on their demeanor. Remember BTK? Nobody thought he would turn out to be a serial killer. Viola, several victims later....national news.

I had the same incident with managers and lying when i worked at Best buy. We HAVE to offer those damn magazines, but no one wants em

some managers lie, some others are truthful, yet i still get reprimanded when i offer like I'm supposed to and NO ONE wants any.. hmmmm

I am very guilty of this. But at my work and maybe the same around here, no one likes the truth.

If something pisses me off or bugs me I speak up. Im seriously surprised I've kept my job this long with some of the things I've said.

I'm not talking about lying though, that's just BS right there. I've pointed out when my managers are lying right then and there. Which pisses them off for some unknow reason????? :erm :innocent

And it is the quiet ones you should fear. As for myself, if I feel I need to I'll just say what's on my mind.

I couldn't care less about being well like (by those I wouldn't get along with anyway) or winning some popularity contest. And because of this, most people hate me for my blunt honest point of view.

Screw 'em I say.
