Children of the Butterflies

(( I tell this as a story......the Mirrorilore, Shiroire, Pegathian and Vethillian species' belong to moi...... ))

It was said that, a long time ago, there was a bitter disagreement between the Elementals of Earth, Air, Fire and Water. The Earthen Gnomes, the Sylphs of Air, the Undines of Water and the Salamanders of Fire apparently couldnt come to agree that there can be no element without the others. It was plain and simple and they couldnt agree on that no element can out-do the other without being outdone by another.

Well, one day, a Wraith (( or 'Nazgul' )) caught 'wind' of the disagreement and seized a Sylph that was involved with said argument. The Sylph was raped, tainted and, afterwards, ashamed of her weakness. The Elementals would hear nothing of her story, banished her and found an incompetent replacement.

The Sylph gave birth to two children. A boy and a girl, or so they appeared. They were hermaphrodites and were able to reproduce asexually (( however, they're offspring couldnt do it that way )). The Boy was the first Mirrorilore, the embodiment of evil, manipulation and darkness. The girl was a Pegathian, the embodiement of good/temperance, kindess and light.

The Mirrorilore' and the Pegathians' all had a transcended form, as well as an Inverted mirror of themselves. The Mirrorilore, after years of showing off missing chunks of their body, turned into the Fraying-for-eternity Shiroire. The Shiroire was every Mirrorilore's worst nightmare as a Mirrorilore would slowly, painlessly though, fray apart until nothing but a presence of their soul remained. A Pegathian turned into the Vethillian......a being that had the ability to split themselves apart and turn into millions of butterflies, whether to evade an injury or safe energy. This is a neat trick, but should a butterfly be damaged, that equalled a new scar for the butterfly's bearer.

These two children, the original Mirrorilore and Pegathian, as well as their offspring and descendants, were all adressed as "Children of the Butterflies." A sylph is personified as having butterfly-like wings and being very preaceful, inspiration-bringing beings. Well, the Pegathians were everything good about the butterflies......peaceful and beautiful beings. Mirrorilores were everything bad about butterflies.....whereas they may be interesting to look at, certain colours or certain numbers could mean nasty business.

(( Shitty history but that is where the Mirrorilore comes from......in the sense of 'Mythology' I mean. ))

On the contrary, I think you're very good. I like your style.

Enough that I could see commissioning you to come up with a nice morph of cougar/myself, along the lines of the "halfway between" stage of my former avatar: new7avatar.gif

I'd like something like that for the back of my jacket. Maybe we'll talk someday!

If you want to for your own fun/practice, go ahead.

But if we wanted to do this officially, I have some suggestions and assists to offer. For instance, that morph was done with only about 6 steps - Had to make it less detailed in order to fit the avatar file size restrictions.

But the original is closer to 15 steps, and MUCH better detail.

I can freeze & provide a single, still image of the halfway point if you want something better to work with.

Also, I found some fantasy artwork once that blew my socks off - a guy did an anthropomorphic otter that was dressed in medieval clothes - it was wonderful. As my totem is Cougar, and my husband's is Otter, I thought it would be great to have a graphic done with two such characters standing back-to-back.

I need to try to find that otter design to show as an example.

If you want to talk details on this, PM me.

I think I did that morph on my laptop.

Give me a couple days - I''ll fire it up and post that halfway pic here for you to use.

It'll be interesting to see what you do.

I love artists. I can't even doodle worth a damn.

I always tell people this when they say they cant draw......"If you cant draw....then either write or take photos." ;D

I'd hate to diss my friend Kelly but she's not much of a draw-er....but her poetry is deep. ;3
