~Ra~
Hello. I decided I'd introduce myself since I joined and plan on being active. I'm a 21 year old artist. I also sell computers on the side. I live with one very loving and severely confused fiance, and an old neurotic cat. I used to live in San Francisco, and when I lived there I would go out all the time, but since I've moved back to Michigan (where I was raised), I haven't been doing much of anything. I feel pretty lethargic lately, and I'd love to go out and do something. I hardly have any close friends here. Most of my closest friends have moved away, and unlike myself, they've stayed away. My fiance is terrified of people, and hence can't really handle going out to clubs, which is something I've always enjoyed, as long as I've been legally allowed to do it, that is. I haven't been doing much in the way of art or photography lately, I'm not really proud of myself. I finally decided I wanted to start making my own clothes, which is something I've always dreamed of doing. Now it's just a matter of getting the money to get everything started, I guess. I know for now I'm just going to make clothes because I enjoy designing them, but mainly because I can't really afford nice clothes anymore. I used to have a fantastic wardrobe, but for health reasons I lost nearly seventy pounds, so all of my expensive and beautiful clothes went out the window. My taste in music is highly ecclectic, but I'll list some of my favorites for fun. Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Android Lust, Mors Syphilitica, Tori Amos, Assemblage 23, VNV Nation, Frontline Assembly, KMFDM, And One, The Cure, Siouxsie & the Banshees, (Which automatically means I like the Glove), Razed in Black, Covenant, Wumpscut, Placebo, Garbage, Kagrra, Malice Mizer, Steve Roach, Voltaire, Velvet Acid Christ, Faith & the Muse, Mira, KMFDM, London After Midnight, David Bowie, Elliott Smith, The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, Ladytron, Nine Inch Nails, De/Vision, and more stuff I can't think of off the top of my head at the moment. Okay, well, that was probably an awkward intro. I've never been the most social person in the world, so I'm not very good with talking about myself. If you want to know more of my interests, I've filled out my profile. It would be cool to find friends here. -Ra

Troy Spiral (13)
Howdy, Great intro post. Nice list of music. How do neurotic cats behave? Well, better yet... aren't they all neurotic? Two of my friends moved to SF , one moved back the other is still out there. Seems like tons of my friends have moved away and since moved back. Hrmm. "Just when i thought i was out... they pull me back in!!" Must be something "truely" goth about detroit, not "hollywood" goth.. but actual goth.. dark, depressing, unlit, run down, miles and miles of concrete wasteland. Welcome to the place. Hope to see you around often. You seem very friendly im sure you'll fit right in. =) YOu covered most of this but its like heresy not to spam the new people with it: *drum roll* The DGN (welcome) Questions 2.0 © Formerly the "S.D.G.N.W.Q.P.S." ~Ra~
I owe my music to my father, who mainly now listens to Kid Rock, Eminem, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park. Which blows my mind. When I was young, my father was into early punk/goth music. He'd always say, "Don't listen to that Guns -n- Roses crap your mom listens to. Here, listen to the Cure, this is good shit." My dad was totally inappropriate for a father. He's gotten a lot better now. He's only 40 and he's still having kids, just not with my mom. I have a baby brother due in January. My particular neurotic cat's issues arose when his previous owner (my fiance's grandmother) died and he was left alone with her for a week with no food or water. He basically has retained severe abandoment issues. He pulls out his fur when he gets nervous, but he also will puke because of his nerves. This will happen if me or my fiance are gone from the house for more than a few hours. We give him a drug which is similar to Xanax (only in a much smaller, cat-friendly dose) if we're going to be gone for awhile. Luckily my fiance works third shift, so I'm usually home when he isn't, and he's home when I'm not. I know what you mean about Hollywood goth. Oh I so totally know what you mean. Current location? Battle Creek, in which there is absolute shit nothing to do. Where from? I was born in Fort Wayne, I was raised in Battle Creek, mainly. I've also lived in: Nashville, MI, Hastings, MI, Fort Wayne, IN, Hayward, CA, Fullerton, CA, Fremont, CA, Portland, OR, Waialua, HI. Work? I sell computers at Best Buy. I'm not a very good salesperson, but I know things about computers, and I'm friendly. Most customers think I know nothing about computers because I'm female. This is a constant problem I have at my job. School? I was the smart strange kid. I went to college, briefly, then realized I couldn't afford it, then realized that I really had no idea what I wanted to do because there was so MUCH that I wanted to do. Kids? My siblings are young enough to be my own children. I wouldn't want to raise kids in this world anyhow, seeing as I had such a rough time with it. Married? I will be sometime next year, probably in October. I love the fall leaves. Single? Nope. Hobbies? Video Games, Internetting (hehe), Wishing I had a million dollars soley to spend on things that lace me up tight, Dancing, Drawing, Writing, Listening to music, taking pictures. Those are the main ones, although I have a lot of hobbies. Other Stuff? That pretty much covers it. Edited December 8, 2006 by ~Ra~
bean
After my ex-husband moved out, my cat began licking her stomach so much that her fur is gone in that area. The vet wanted to put her on Amytriptalene! Anyway, welcome to the board, good intro post.

n0Mad
Pirates are better because we can get drunk. And we rape, torture, pillage, and burn. Ninjas have to remain centered, sneak in, and kill quickly and quietly. You can have the honor. I'll take the fortune and glory baby. Fortune, And, Glory!
