you know what thank-you for your kindness, . I think that someone misunderstood. So thank-you but I think I'll start my own forum on yahoo. I started a yahoo page called Midwest goth. I would to be contacted from now on through my email address, Hopefully when I get home from my Vacation I will see some of you at Necto and god forbid City Club. I am going to talk to my school about having a film fest. Like I said I would like to have a goth meet-up in May. Anyone have any ideas? I will speriatically post here maybe every few weeks with updates.

Theres already like 90 email lists, starting one more is just going to make it that much harder to get the word out for events, thats been an ongoing problem for ages. I really think thats a counterproductive idea if the plan is to "get the word out about gatherings" using existing channels is a lot more productive, as theres already way to many small / medium sized mini-lists all over the place. One more really wont help anything, pooling resources is what the D-town scene needs , rather than more fragmentation.

The only reason I wanted to do a email list is because I have school coming and I just thought it would be easier if I wrote on email and sent it out. If you guys don't think that's a good idea then I'll just keep posting here. My friend Eric and I had a idea for a Anime Con in Ann Arbor at one of the colleges. What do you guys think of that? We just started thinking about that the other day. I am still in Search of a place to have a gioth meet up at. Any thoughts. I will be watching this forum every other day or so. I hope everyone has a good St. Patty's day. :clover:

You may want to check with UoM Animania to see if they have anything in the works or will work with you on this if you want to go through the University of Michigan.

Understandable, but its better to have something established for a new list thrown in the plethora of lists for the area. If all you want is just a single email to set it up to, I recommend doing your research and getting the addresses for a lot of the local email lists and set them up as a group of some sort in your email. Besides, if you're doing something like a convention, you'll want to cross-post anyways.

On a completely different note, I am curious about the question of identity. I've followed the DCC board threads and between them and batsday's post earlier in this thread, there has been some reasonable points brought up about the claims you've made about California.

If you want to come out here and get some events going, then more power to you. I wish you the best of luck. But I have no interest in participation when your ideas are brought up so confrontationally and doubts to your ability to do so when there are questions about your honesty.
