No, semi-unfortunately, that's the way the system is supposed to work. It just knows that something is being done to a post and moves the thread back up so that other users can see that there have been changes in the thread, whether it's to edit, a new post was added, whatever.

Hrmm.  I'd have to be able to duplicate it to comment properly.

I just went and made some minor edits to several threads, none of them were bumped.  :ermm:

Careful though, as if i find out there is a way to >cause< edited threads to be bumped, ill probably want ot enable it for all edited threads, rather than stamp out the cases where they dont get bumped.  :laughing:  :devil:

I wonder if it is only if the TOP post in the thread is edited?

I went and edited a quiz that I had orginated and it did NOT bump it up to the top of the forum. I didn't actually change anything but that shouldn't make a difference since I went through the edit and clicked the "Submit edited post" button. (Can't imagine that the board is "intelligent" enough to know whether you actually changed something or not.)
