This Is Nasty

I read in a mag 3 top pro models died this yr of starvation.

And that the designers are wanting a more healthy look now......I will believe it when I see it.

One good thing about the 80's. Cindy Crawford. She made athletically lean and healthy (a bit more meat in the hips and thieghs) popular.

Seems now we are back to that skinny Twiggy (twig? Ha) style of model.

Eeesh....

Poor thing....although I know she has to own up to it....

still, the suffering one must go through to look like that.

Which in her case is NOT at all flattering.

She does have nice hair.....

Looks like that nice hair might be doing a little falling out.

And I'm surprised no one's mentioned how awful that sack looks on her. Why oh WHY do they put models in the ugliest shit ever?

NOT REAL... there's a whole set of these floating around. Altho if you look at the pre-altered photos on Snopes, they didn't have to do all that much alteration... mostly just highlighted the ribs & collarbones & shaved a little bit off the limbs. IMO the women are still unattractively (& unhealthily) scrawny even without the photo tweaking.

And... the nice hair probably isn't nice up close... I've heard it's a real challenge to do hair/makeup for these underweight models & actresses because their hair & skin are so ravaged by malnutrition.

Speaking of body image issues, mad props to Slimfast for their totally kick ass "hips not hipbones" tv spot. I almost wept with joy when I saw it.

Yeah, it doesn't matter if they were altered or not. Either way, these girls are TOO thin. It's not healthy or even healthy looking. And it just sends the wrong message out to young girls.

One thing I really don't understand, and this isn't directed towards anyone here because you all seem to have good self esteems but... most people do worry too much about what others think... A bit of common sense...

Why care what other's think if it means torturing yourself, or making yourself miserable... some guy calls you fat, woot, WHO CARES?!?! HE'S NOT YOU!!!! Or some chick says ya got a small dick... like you should give a shit?? People who criticize me really don't get the reaction they expect, because for one, i'm happy with who i am and what I look like, and of all the bullshit i've dealt with in life this is one lesson i've learned very well, and cherish very much. No one else is me, so no one else should tell me what to do in order to make me happy, they don't know what i think, but i do, so i do what makes me happy and fuck everyone else's opinions of me. Seriously... people who torture themselves like this really need to stop drinking the blue coolaid from the port-o-potties... and in some cases, making themselves trow it up right after drinking it. But hey, it's them, not us. Let them torture themselves if they want, it's not like we have to do the same. Now with that, I'm going to eat a nice fat ass juicy steak... oh wait, that's right... I can't eat because I can't find a job that wants to pay me enough to actually be able to feed myself... Grrr... I'm so envious of all you well fed people!
