Extremely Realistic And Weird Dream

Ok.. I really think i gotta lay off certain things for a while again cuz my brain is going nutz when i sleep..

Last night i had this dream that i was at this party with my girl, and there was this other girl there trying to hook up with me but as usual, i was oblivious to that and thought she was just being innocently friendly, so when i told her i was going to see where my girl was and left her, i searched around but couldn't find my girl, in a panic i threw up... then the nastiest taste entered my mouth... it tasted like a chemlight glowstick, and i kept vomiting profusely every 5 seconds, and i was vomiting chemlight juice and it was still glowing, i was running around the party franticly trying to find some place where i could just heave it all out without pissing any guests off before i woke up finally... with that nasty fuckin taste in my mouth, and i was actually throwing up in my sleep sorta (more like chocking on spit maybe but... still)

Could a dream be so real your body actually fools it's self into thinking you taste something that isn't in your mouth? And if so why a damn chem light?

Last time i found out what chem lights tasted like, was when i drank 30 green ones in iraq out of boredem and on a dare... needless to say... i had bright glowing green piss all night long. but i did not throw up then...

anyone know enough about dreams to decypher this one?

The brain can't decipher between the real world and the imaginary world. So as far as your brain is concerned, your dreams are just as real as our physical "real" world. But as far as bodily reactions, I don't know. But I bet that taste in your mouth was exactly what you tasted in Iraq

if you can see, hear, and feel in dreams, why not taste and smell? i guess it's just not as common to notice tastes and smells because they're not dominant senses and our brains aren't powerful enough to generate every detail of a realistic environment all the time.

as for your dream in particular, sounds like you're worried about something that was represented by the vomit. maybe something like a responsibility or commitment that you're looking to unload without throwing your social life out of whack.

could be related to your experience in iraq since it tasted like chemlight. as for the girls in your dream, it's impossible to make any fair assumptions because I don't know you or them.

Well to explain this better, I'm completely over Iraq. True I don't want to go there again but... it just seemed bizare that i would taste that taste... and yes i had the lights out in the bathroom when i took my mourning piss JUST to make sure it wasn't glowing. I sorta understand the girl thing, but as for my dreams go, i've gotten in fights, fallen out of airplanes, and it never hurt, somehow even as real as the feeling might be, i could always somehow tell the difference, i just wouldn't realize it right away and when i would i would wake up shortly after. I've even had dreams when i was a little kid getting my hands on a big juicy thing of bubble tape and shoving it in my mouth and going... wtf? no flavor?!?!?! then wake up. But when i woke up last night, that awful taste was still there! I woke up and almost yaked on my pillow and realized most my mouth was full of spit. So maybe the spit was going stale and that's just what stale spit tastes like? Either way the taste didn't leave my mouth until after a a thorough brushing of my teeth, followed by 2 minutes of listerine. Listerine does the trick, whatever nasty flavor is in your mouth.. after listerine, you just have that nasty flavor of cool mint in your mouth, wich my brain thinks of it as cleanliness so it's tolerable to me. But it was like a matrix theory thing, where if you experience something in your dream, your real body goes through the same thing. I've had some extremely surealistic dreams of getting stabbed in the gut in knife fights yet i don't have a bloody wound in my abdomen when i wake up so... but that awful taste. I asked around on yahoo messenger and got an idea....

It's like a pee dream, where you gotta pee really really bad when you're sleeping, and you all of a sudden have a dream that you're going to the bathroom, standing infront of the toilet, and you go... then you're dreaming that your dick is like an outta control firehose before you wake up and realize... thankfully i never had that, and i'm going to keep the identity of who told me that a secret but that would make sense...

MAYBE... i was having the dream of my girl just dissapearing, then it was interupted by the flavor that suddenly appeared in my mouth, so i started dreaming that i was puking up chem light fluid...

As for any ideas of me drinking 30 green chem lights again just to see glowing green piss, the answer is no unless I get paid at least $200 and someone has a camcorder to get that on tape. It really burns comming out.

ewwwie! pee! no way. God at least i hope not... you're probably right about the acid reflux, when tummy juice comes up it does taste rather similar to chem light... either way it's weird but thanks for your input.

The acid reflux theory sounds likely. Sounds like your brain was trying to wake you up to deal w/some bodily issue. When I have to pee at night (often) I start dreaming that I keep having to pee every few minutes... and the facilities I use get progressively filthier & less private until I finally wake up & stumble to the WC. And I've heard that night terrors are often related to sleep apnea- the brain trying to wake the sleeper up so they will start breathing again.

I hate the whole "pee" thing in dreams. Man. Usually the feeling manifests itself into my dream-entity going to the bathroom (BOTH numbers, people) all over the carpet or someone's couch or something, even though I've never had an incontinence problem in real life. It's so much worse than the naked dreams- I'm so used to those by now, I'm pretty sure I could comfortably go around naked in real life as long as people treated me like they do in the naked dreams, which is totally normal...

I should really go to a nudist resort sometime.
