City Club Who Is Not Going?

I would say I have to agree, I have only been there a few times, maybe 3-4 and everytime I go there, it bombs out. Either no one is there, the music sucks or overall shitty time. I wish there was another place to go but Necto is WAYY out there and no other place to go. ~shrugs~ guess we got to put up huh?

I have to say that attendance is usually up more during the cold months because it does get hot in there when a lot of people are in that place. In the past years it has been this way. Maybe it is changing now. I certainly liked it better in the cold times because I could dress fully without worry of sweating to death.

Me too, but like crank said before, CC has lost alot of it's luster, right now I haven't had a desire to go back since I went on that friday...

I honestly have stopped going to CC about 7 years ago and I DO NOT regret it. I would go just about every weekend. And thank GOD I never got VD :-P

I swear I have seen people go to that place every weekend for YEARS. I *KNOW* I can walk into the place this very day and I will see one of the "old skoolers" sitting in the same spot smoking the same ole clove brand of cigs drinking the same mixed drink.

I'm sure some of you know John Coffee by now. I think the man has been going to CC since it opened.

Honestly people there is life *AFTER* City Club and its a wonderful thing!

No go out there go to college and become one of the unemployed like the rest of us *THAN* go back to CC!! At least than you can say you tried something new.

Great Post lord velos! I couldn't agree with you more. City Club without a doubt had it's time, but I could really care less if I ever step foot in there ever again.

I like CC, however i would rather go to Necto, A. i live in Ann Arbor so I'm 10 minutes from Necto as opposed to the 45min drive to Cass. that and i don't know anyone (aside from you DGN'ers) at CC, where as I've been going to Necto for almost a year now (off and on) and know a good portion of people and can keep entertained for the few hours that I'm there.

however i do thank CC for meeting Lila.... but all in all i like Necto better. Plus I HAVE to work Saturday nights.... so CC is a no go any who

I haven't been to cc in ages. But, the last time i was there I took a friend of mine from Germany. He said he went to punk clubs in Berlin, so I thought he would feel rigth at home there.

He said "It's just like the clubs back home, except back home, people wear normal clothes, and we sing karaoke"

Yeah, um, CC is definitely JUST LIKE that.

Fortunately, some hottie made out with him for most of the night, so he ended up loving the place.

I believe the hottie was my friend B. I told her to show him a good time. I had no idea.

remember those awful couches they had? Blech. They were too gross to even vomit on.

Eh, I'll go again when the mood strikes. It might be in a month, it might be in 6 months. I go to City Club when I need a dose of the surreal. If think City Club is normal then you go too often. I try to go once in a while when I want to see people I haven't in a long time, and I try to avoid the drama that one who goes all the time is inevitably sucked into.

Plus, I think a lot of people have the "January blahs" now. Wait until spring, it'll pick up when people start getting horny.

I am curious.

For those of you who say you have stopped going to CityClub and are joyously celebrating the fact

Is it that you have stopped going to clubs completely, or do you go out to other clubs?

If not, what clubs are fun for you?

If so, what are you doing now that is sooo much fun? :wink

It's really just city club that sucks to go to. It kinda grosses me out. I still like to go to other clubs and Luna is my favorite at this time.
