The satellite was 500 miles above the Earth's surface. The explosion created a cloud of debris in space, adding to the amount of "space junk" circling the Earth.

...

A satellite is a fairly small thing to hit with a missile. Kristensen says the DF-21 can probably hit a spot on the ground with an accuracy of several hundred feet. But the satellite was probably close to the size of a refrigerator.

Yep... that missle guidance is great... makes me really wish that Clinton hadn't sold it to them.

That liberal son of a bitch.

(If they can do it now, and we sold it to them more than 6 years ago, why can't WE do it, even now? And it's not about preventing the exchange of ideas [they were bound to find out on their own anyway], it's about building peaceful relations with them so they don't have to use the technology against us)

BF, we can do it.. we are not allowed too due to trieties and laws and such.. that whole thing about no military in space after Reagan tried to get the Starwars platforms put up there...

Peacefull relations? Is that why we let them steal or buy all of our nuclear warhead secrets?
