Phone Call! Wtf

I get a call from this lady (the number came up private) i answer and she immediately asks who i am. I ask who shes looking for and she asks me again who it is (ok now im a little defensive) i ask her who she is and why shes calling me. She sais my number is in her phone bill and i better tell her my name immediately, she still hasnt told me her name tho even tho ive asked. at this point she starts telling me im beeing difficault and its pissing her off, so i say fuck it and hang up, i will not be treated that way. about 5 minutes later she calles back and i let it ring. next thing i know i have a voicemail. It sais "you are in a lot of trouble if your involved in this, beware, a lot of trouble!" and she hangs up. WHAT A BITCH!

So. . .what do i do, i dont have her number but i did save the message. Do i call the cops or is that major harsh? Talk to the phone company maybe? HELP!

It seems to me, that cops don't take any action to prevent a possible crime, even when they have enough info to know it's going to happen... they just rather sit on their lazy asses and hope that it won't happen. Once it does happen, it seems all they do is make you fill out a report, or press charges, if you don't know who done it, you're SOL. So... one question i have (not meaning to threadjack, but this comment made me think of this question)

Since the government, including everything about it, politics, cops, ect, don't listen to the citizens of america... why the hell should we listen to them? I mean hell, yeah they got all the money, but how are they going to hurt us with a dollar bill? We got the numbers, they're vastly outnumbered...

It reminds me of what I would hear about when people talked of the 60's and 70's... why is everyone too fucking afraid to stand up to this shit now adays? Fuck.. am I the only one?

I say take your phone to the cops, play the message, they will contact your provider and take it from there. Let the cops know that you fear for your personal safety.

I called them and they said all i have to do is go to my provider and get the number and her name, which i found out i can do in 2 more days for 20 bucks, im thinking i might just do it.

actually since i wrote this shes called 2 more times. . .crazy bitch. the cops said that once i get a name or her number that i can file a report with the message she left and from there shes got 2 strikes, the first one, she calls me again and i tell the cops, they call her and nicely tell her to fuck off, the second strike, she calls me for any reason at all and even raises her voice to me and the police will issue a warent. . .w00t

I was getting calls from truckers (mostly ladies, of all things) asking for an address delivery of road salt! Took me 3 weeks to finally get to the bottom of that one. They had given my cell # out as a contact for their factory but mistyped the 616 area code rather than their area code.

I'm glad there is some action you can take, & hope you follow up on it. Even if you don't plan to press charges (if it gets to that point), it's always good to have documentation showing you've taken the proper legal steps. Maybe this person is just making empty threats... but you shouldn't have to put up with that kind of harassment. It's very stressful & no one needs that kind of grief in their life. And you never know... if this person really is unbalanced, her verbal threats could escalate into something more serious.

Since i got my new phone, and have the 313 area code... no offence not to sound racist at all but... i get about 2 wrong numbers a week from obviously drunken and/or drugged up black people. Most of them get attitudes with me as soon as i tell them they have the wrong number sooo....

Whenever I see a number i don't recognize, or a blocked number... i begin the unorthodox conversation with something like this...

thanks for all the advice guys! since i posted this shes called me 6 more times, and a few of them were from prepaid cards. she would call up and ask for stephany and when i said wrong number she started in with the who are you bull crap, i know its her tho. so tomorrow im going down and getting the number from my company (whats 20 bucks for a little peace and quiet) and then im calling up the cops. im not scared of her and i dont feel threatend but for christ sakes this is just plain annoying.

I got a bunch of calls like that from some psycho who thinks she was dating my dad, called at least 6 times a day, came over once...she had our adress from the phone book, it's scarry stuff! we had to bring the police too. I know how annoying and scary that is, I'd never hope it on anyone. *hugs* glad it was better handled than ours.
