Beginning March 22, 2008 and leaving from Hart Plaza, I and 4 other diabetics will be hiking from Detroit to Barrow, Alaska to help raise money for the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).

Throughout this year, I will be holding events to help raise money for the trip. If anybody wishes to help me with this, just let me know.

As for any donations to the JDRF, I will not be taking them. They should be sent to the JDRF office in Southfield and a note should be attached explaining it is for the Ultimate Walk For A Cure. Here is the address for the JDRF office:

The events I am going to be throwing are going to be strictly for raising funds for the trip itself. This is the only money I plan on handling. I am estimating it will take somewhere in the territory of $40, 000 for the trip. That covers food, medical expenses, and any equipment.
