DarkVampire
Too damn cold. It effects the joints in my legs, makes them stiff and I don't want to move.
BrassFusion
Keeping the thermostat low to save $, furnace broken, or what? My personal habitat is always about 20 degrees colder than the rest of the house for a variety of fun reasons. AND we're keeping the thermostat low to save money. BrassFusion
Come over, baby, and I'll keep you warm...me-ow haha i recall your apartment being so hot that one time last year i was seeing colored spots and marinating in my own sweat, unable to sleep for hallucinations and paranoia brought on by the intense oven-like temperature. sounds like a plan. Draco1958
I also prefer a cooler room. I sleep better in a cool room under light covers. Always willing to help warm up a friend.
BrassFusion
The phrase "also prefer" suggests that you think I like freezing my tits off. The meat thermometer thinks it's 62 degrees in here right now. It was way colder last night...

AND we're keeping the thermostat low to save money. This is why I said I also prefer. I also said cooler, not cold. Don't want to see anyone freeze body parts off. but a cooler room makes snuggling so much better

Onyx
My heating costs have gone up by a couple hundred bucks. I'm using up a bit of my savings this winter, but to me it's worth it to stay toasty warm. I'd rather do without food than be cold! (Actually looking at how I've been packing on the pounds too it wouldn't be a bad thing, heh). I really feel for those who are cold. I can't even think straight or get anything done around here unless it's warm enough. Funny though, it doesn't seem to bother me if I'm outside at a football game or something. I usually dress in lots and lots of layers though.
AstralCrux
Suggestion of a small electric heater for your room. It will run you around 15-20 bucks, but is far cheaper than running the gas bill up.

Onyx
Suggestion of a small electric heater for your room. It will run you around 15-20 bucks, but is far cheaper than running the gas bill up. It must depend on the type of furnace or something. We did that when the gas heat was out and my power bill was waaaay higher than the gas bill. I keep it really warm with the gas too.

AstralCrux
In BF's case a small heater in her room wouldn't do too much damage. Jeremy has 2 running that heat the apartment and it's less damage than the gas bill was last year. With a large house you'd probably have to have the kids share a room and shut the heat off to some of the rooms so that heat can be conserved to a smaller portion of the house.
