Wedding Makeup

Luckily, we have plenty of talented gay boys out there to help us girls.

Oh, and so far as makeup, I like rimmel for shadows, revlon for base, eyeliner, lipstick, gloss (midnight swirl), and neutrogena for my powder.

I use aveno and aveda moisturizers to add a slight stickey quality to the base so the powder adheres better. Once I'm done with my eyes I even out the powder with my hands then spray with aveda's mist moisturizer stuff to set it and keep it from doing that cakey poweder thing in the creases of my eyes and at the corners of my lips.

I use cheap brow pencil...bonney bel or some shit

Now that La Brenda is here can we start planning our makeup fest? Maybe sometime in late April or early May? I would really like for this to happen... it would be a groovy fun non-club get together. I would love to host but I realize most people won't be up for the cruise up 96, so the best I can do is offer to be "official hostess" i.e. do all the major prep & cleanup labor for whoever can host. We could maybe even recruit some on-site childcare for the breeders among us ...

Seriously though, I hope it starts working for you. I felt so bad yesterday I wanted to shoot out the speakers at Meijer for playing happy love songs. Ugh. I've been trying St. John's wort and so far nothing. I haven't reacted too well to the prescription stuff so thought I'd give that a try. Mine is more a situational thing and I'm waiting for that to change. It's my circumstances right now more than my inner moods I'm battling.

well... the original idea wasn't to do specifically "goth" makeup... just a chance to learn basic makeup techniques (or more advanced ones depending on individual skill level) and experiment with different looks. Since we are, after all, Detroit Gothic.Net and not Detroit Girlie.Net, I'm sure some rice-powder-&-black-eyeliner looks would be done... but not exclusively that.

So should I start a new thread for this? if only to gauge the general interest level?
