Oh yeah, here's a surprise, I'm actually coming.

This will be the biggest surprise to Bean, who went to sleep thinking I would be stuck at home once again.

Only one question:

If you bring your own music, how will the singing be stripped from the tracks, or do we have to sing over it???

Some KJs can't or won't strip the lyrics, and I don't know the guy who's running it tonight, so I'm not sure, but most of the time they mute down the vocal range. It masks over the vocals up to 90%, but it also takes away from other parts of the music in the same pitch range as the vocals. Depending on what style of music you're singing, it can sound HORRIBLE. I really don't recommend doing it, ever. But you could bring the CD anyway and just look through the book first...?

Oh shit. I get to meet eternal??

Yeah, here's how meeting me works.

The first five minutes you're charmed.

Then next five you're annoyed.

After fifteen, unless you're name is Rachel, you're sitting at a different table

Yeah. Royal Oak isn't exactly close.

Hey, it's not that far! Bean and I commute back and forth from Lansing all the time

Aww! Aren't you sweet!

I really hope to make it out tonight. But, rent is more important. If we can swing it, we will. So far, it's more yes than no.

No waffling.

Here's my bribe:

Bean and I aren't drinking.

So, I'll buy you and Tom a drink, k?

C U there :welcome:

Thanks BF, I was hoping after reading Manic Queen's post, you'd get what I meant.

I can sing ok, but I dont want to compete with Trent Reznor.

I'll just pick a song from the list

Anything but Britney Spears, Mars is too "toxic" for me to touch her stuff

THE ONLY RULE I HAVE

NO pictures of me and Bean

We both have good reasons for this. (OK, only I have good reasons--but please honor our request anyway, k?

THANKS

See you there :wave

Tsch.

No one has good reasons for demanding "no pictures." I've seen some horrible ones of myself come out of the freaky friday events so far, but at least I was having fun, and pictures of myself aren't for MY benefit, right?? They're for everyone else who either A. doesn't know what I look like and is curious, or B. wants to remember the fun time they had that night.

What fun would pictures be if you were the only one in them, ever?

So, JUST for you, imma scan and post this horrible picture of myself. It's probably not the worst one in existence, but it's really super bad. I didn't even show my MOM this picture.

THERE.

Oh god. I can't even say I was caught off-guard for that one.

We'll be there between 10:30 and 11.

I hope the kitchen's still open.

BF-

The problem with the pic above is it violated the first rule of picture taking:

Never shoot from underneath, it highlights the "double chin"

Set it up so the persons face is out and not turned inward

(which creates double chins on everyone but the super skinny)

and shoot from slightly above.

Oh, and a smile would be nice :wink

There's this one woman I know who always takes these pictures of herself looking down or away from the camera with out even the hint of a smile.

It's a shame since she's so pretty.

ANYWAY,

my not wanting to have a picture taken is not for cosmetic reasons, but for privacy.

There's more to it, but I'd prefer to leave it at that.

Trust me, me in the flesh will be plenty.

No one needs to look back on DGN for a "fading f*&^%ng reminder of who I used to be."
