Nipple Piercings

Wounds Within

Recommended Posts

I have recently decided that I want to get my nipples pierced. Thing is I don't really know many people personally who has gotten that done let alone I only know one other male who has them. I am almost certain that this area of the body would be perhaps one of the more painful piercings to have done.

I guess I am just looking to hear if any of you or someone you know had this done (either still have them or rid of them) and what was the experience like. Male input would also be very much appreciated. Thank you my friends.

Sorry that I'm not a guy, but I had them done about 9 or 10 years ago. And they HURT. Okay, the 1st one didn't. The 2nd one......YEEEEEEEOW! I would be lying through my teeth if I said that I didn't feel THAT one. I heard that there are some places with 2 piercers who will do them at the same time......AFTER THE FACT. Maybe they do that here, too. And, after going through it, I'll NEVER take them out.

They hurt when they get done. The second one even more. It took a while for mine to heal.

But. The girls love em... :-)

Sadly, mine had to come out due to a surgery and the holes close right up. Not sure if I want to redo them again. My nipples are just to damn sensitive.

Yeah, it hurts quite a bit. The first time I did it my body rejected them. I kept them in for 6 months and they never healed. The rings eventually migrated completely out. SO... I let it heal and had them re-pierced 6 months later vertically with a curved barbell in the hopes they would stick. Again, they didn't heal at all, and I waited about 9 months. They didn't migrate that time but it was constant dull pain and reocurrant infections... Not to be a downer, I know some people are sensitive. I just wanted to throw out there that some people reject those piercings, men as we ll as women.

i had both my nipples pierced about 10 years ago. i really wanted them pierced and at the same time it was a kind of a spur of the moment decision, which is rare for me. yes, it hurt, but i've found with the other piercings i've had, if it's something that i REALLY want, it doesn't hurt. Does that make sense? I think it's psychological.

I could have cared less if my belly button had gotten pierced. The guy I was dating at the time thought it was sexy and took me to have it pierced and that one--?? HURT LIKE FUCKING HELL.

Neither my nipples or my belly button piercing healed right--they were always crusty and i was constanlty cleaning them and taking care of them. (EEEEEEEEEWWWWW!!!!) My nipples are already sensitive and the piercings made them even more sensitive. Add on to that fact that they wouldn't heal???: They couldn't be squeezed, pinched or played with in any way shape or form. Then the piercings migrated. I can still, after 7 years, point out the holes on the sides and top of my nipples where the metal poked through. (Talk about masochism. OUCH!) I finally took them out, along with the belly button one.

Now my eyebrow? I took 5-6 years to decide if i really wanted it done. It was quick with no lingering pain like the belly button. It healed fine, has never migrated and i've never had any other problems with it. I can also take it out for a week or two and put the ring back in with ease. ok, so i may lube it up to get it back in. ;>

It just seems like piercing depends on the individual's body and mind. You really won't know how either will react until you do it. Probably why it's so enticing.

Well, that's my two cents... can i have my pennies back now? I've been recently made poor.

I had my left one done, and the piercing itself wasn't that bad, but it was really sore for about 3 months after, and took about 6 months to heal correctly. The piercing made my nipple more sensitive, but it migrated, so it I took it out about a year and a half - 2 years ago, before it came out completely. The holes are still very visible.

I have my septum pierced though, and I would have to say the pain after that was much worse, but went away much faster.

I was going to open a thread like this......

My question is in regard to Breast feeding though.....

Can you still breastfeed after having them done?

I would like to, but will not if that will be a problem in my future mommying.

Everything I have read has discouraged it. I guess it's possible, but the jewlery has a tendancy to come loose under the pressure and if you remove it you have a way higher chance of hole closure, painful reinsertion and infection.

Well I finally had this done yesterday. The first one was not so bad, just a hard pinch, but those of you who said the second one would hurt much worse were correct. The second one by far was painful but only lasted a few moments. As I woke up this morning, they really done't hurt a whole lot, just a little tender, but that should pass. Thank you everyone for your input.

  • 1 month later...
  • 2 weeks later...

I had both done a few years ago, took them out because the ex wasn't into them but now I'm thinking about getting them done again.

When I would get out of the shower, some how I would manage to snag them on the towel when drying off, ouchy! Plus my hair was nipple length at the time so brushing it, nude, sometimes hurt.

Thank god I have short hair now!

Nipples+Piercing= ouch.

I like the way it looks.....not on me.

I know someone who ripped his out at work, through his shirt...on a cardboard box.

Just wonder how the hell that happened. But I guess now he can't get it redone, it looks wierd and he no longer has a matching set. Kinda like salt n pepper shakers. You want them to match...or just have one or the other. Ya know?
