Imma paste this to the famous last words thread. ;)

heh... never gone skydiving myself, i DID go on this ripcord thing at an amusement park. if the experience is at all similar, the worst part is right before the drop. i bet skydiving is way awesomer, though, i gotta try that sometime too.

I have never been skydiving, but I did bungee jump off of a HUGE tower with the cord attached to my feet. It was fun.

I *ALMOST* parasailed in Hawaii ... but I couldn't convince myself that I wouldn't hit the cold ocean.

It's just something I have thought about doing for years. And the fact that I have HUGE issues with planes and falling from the sky makes me wanna drop dead just thinking about it.

I know, doesn't make any sense.

I don't wanna do it because I have a paralizing fear, I just wanna do it for no damn reason.

I went through all the training in Tecumseh but when it came time to jump there was too much cloud cover and the instructors wouldn't let us go up. They gave us rain checks, but I never went back. I really wish I had.

Dang.. go back. That shit cost's lost of money.

ive never gone skydiving but I went thru Air Assault school in the Army where they'd have us sling up, go up in a helicopter 100 feet up with no doors, step out onto the landing gear backward and repel down. It was pretty exciting. But you didint wear a regular harness - all you used was a peice of rope tied into a harness called a "swiss seat". Basically that swiss seat loped around each inner thigh, and formed a home made harness, and if you forgot to check your package and make sure your nutsack was not partially under the rope rig in your crotch, once your full weight took effect when you hit the brakes on the way down you'd crush your nads instantly.

I saw alot of guys hit the ground and then crumple over from nad smashing.
