Misconceived Music

Hey Gang...

Thanks for welcoming me into the fold. I thought I would share with you something most near and dear to me. My band.

Misconceived is a labor of love for me and the other 4 members of this Metal ensemble.

We're a quintet of rockers bent on bringing some rythem, soul, and harmony back to the metal scene, and as such our music tends to transcend heavy metal, and steps (albeit sometimes rather insecurely) into other fields of music, including some goth, some industrial, some progressive, some straight grind. We're trying to break new ground in music, and the Industrial, and Goth are -deffinately- major influences, even if only subtly.

Our sound is sometimes compared to Sevendust, Audioslave, Tool, Stained, or Suicidal Tendencies. Most of the songs are put together with a focus on dueling emotive, and screaming guitar, carried on grooving base, and strong punching drum beats. The Vocals are Soulful, clear, and powerful, borrowing techniques from all over the industry. Soulful runs seen in many of the 'groove metal' formations, and gospel, as well as some hearty, guttural grunts and screams found a lot of modern and NuMetal projects.

Song Themes/Lyrical Content are intended to be powerful, touching, and driving. With songs like 'Tears' about the loss of personal religion, or 'Relapse', a bitter plea from within the walls of a rehab clinic, we try to touch on real issues, that people in general can relate to. We also move into some heavier, more volatile areas with tunes like 'Against the Wall' about the unwillingness to yealed and fall to base and racist concepts of hate, or 'demeanor', a song about the struggle between the face that we show, and the person within.

We don't present ourselves as 'Goth or Industrial' but hope that both communities will embrace us.

Hon, I am about 6' tall, about 250lbs, and practiced Aikido, Tae-kwan-do, and about 31 other Asian sounding words for a lot of years.

LMFAO....first off, Harpos gets a sorry arse rap. I been down there tons of times and nothing's gone wrong.

I'm not saying things can't go wrong, but I haven't seen anything like that since I been going.

Secondly, Godfallen Promotions is Clinton Twp based, though we do most of our work in the Detroit area. It's hard to get the guys from Misconcieved up here, cuz they live so far away...as much as I love all of them. Last time I think they were up this way was when they played the Dog house for St. Pattys Day. It's something I am working on.

If they are doing a show at Harpos, and you wouldn't mind going, just hit Godfallen up, we'll meet somewhere, and you can ride with my crew. EVERYONE that works Harpos, from security to the booking agent, knows us on sight.

and third....Decent voice??? you NEED to hear the man live...it's soul wrenching!!!!
