i dunno then. . .maybe take a look at the code? the way myspace does code is pretty easy to scan through and fix so you should have no problem

Yeah thats what i thought when i started down the path to the abyss known as myspace the day i made that thing... after 8 hours of anal-rententive dinking around i finally said "fuuuuuck this!" lol.

Didnt even occur to me that it might look different for non-friend non-logged in people until just now. Ouch. >pokes around some more

yes.

and i am surprised dgn only has 82 myspace friends. that is odd.

There was like a 3 month period were i was MIA , and i think after a certian amount of time the requests get "auto declined" or some such.

They would have had 83, but my request was denied. so meh

Really? I dont remember declining anything resembling "glc". The only stuff i decline are random requests from accounts that are not identifable in any way or just look like advertizing spam. (which is a ton)

Try it again if your so inclined.

No, I'm Shadowsounds on Myspace. Is there a time limit on how long a request pends? I think I was waiting for a month, maybe if it hasn't been accepted after a month it automatically deletes the request. I dunno. Anyway, I'll try again!

My understanding of myspace is pretty limited, but yeah i think it goes bye bye after X amount of time. =(

Grr i cant seem to duplicate the "problem" as described in the topic post now. :wallbash:

Myspace has been screwing up alot with anything involving new freinds. I keep logging in and I get at least 5 requests a day, and most of the time 3 of them are deleted...

Myspace has been deleting freinds randomly for some reason. Now if they were profiles specifcly made for spam, I'd understand. But the profiles I'm speaking of were normal profiles. I know a few people that have complained about this. So, Troy may not have denied you GLC, but it might've appeared to him as if your profile was deleted.

If they delete a profile, they actually delete it, not just make it look like it is to a select few users. What evidence do you have that the requests from deleted profiles AREN'T spammers?

I mean, seriously, if you're getting 5 requests a day, they're already going to be teenagers or shitty local bands who don't know you personally and just want more friends to look popular (omg, I just cracked the Myspace code), with a healthy contingent of spambots. 3 of 5 sounds about right.

you mean the ones that have 700+ friends and the first two pages are full of pictures of blonde's boobs and butts? if you look real closely they usually have some random 21 year old girl in there from like .... maryland or something who is a true groupie and would even come all the way here just to hang out with the band in a hotel for the night!

Well, the fact that I have spoken to some of my freinds (yes I know and talk to some but not all of my myspace freinds, I'd say I have chatted with at least 75% of my freinds list. ) that have had me on their freind list one day, then come to find out one of us cannot place a comment because we're no longer freinds. That's proof enough that there has been 'normal' profiles that have been deleted.(And no they didn't just decide to delete me. Because either they message me and ask why I have deleted them, or vice versa. If I message them they usually end up being confused because they didn't delete me by choice)

Myspace screws up all the time. This is a fact that no one denies. That's what leads me to believe that innocent people have been deleted off of mysace.

There's also the fact that when I change pages the number of freinds I have increase then decrease and increase again without accepting add requests.

And for the record, I am a myspace whore, yes. But two things

1: I try to keep in contact and talk to EVERYONE on my list. Every now and then I go through my entire freinds list and comment on EVERYONES profile and see how they are doing. (Though this has become more rare and rare as my freinds list increases)

2: I, most of the time, am to lazy to check out people's profiles and see if they're worth adding. It's just much much easier just to click 'accept'. Unless the profile's default picture is an obvious spam bot, I will not accept and add request with pics that have just cleavage or an ass in it.
