My Views On Love

Try hate.

It's easier, and gets you to the same place in the end.

Takes just as much energy, though.

actually hate takes much more energy and exhausts you in the end.

love, when you are loved BACK, makes you feel a feeling i can't even put into words. and that's a good thing.

Yah, ouch. That hurts. I waited around for a married guy once....it sucked. Then when he was single again I was hooked up....and happy I made the choice after how things turned out.

this is sort of tortuous, this thing you've described. I just told another friend yesterday....that I used to have a friend, and she was just too.........much. Too much of a perfect match for me, too much physical attraction, too much unspoken understanding between us, too much connection in general for a man who is married and in love with his wife. So she went into the no fly zone, because sometimes you have to guard your fences, even against yourself.

you need to give yourself a chance to give someone else a chance to give you a chance. And leave the past behind you.

Let's assume for a moment that my post was made in all seriousness (it wasn't, it was supposed to be 50% jest).

It seems, in my experience, that they take the same amount of energy. I will grant you that hate can be more exhausting, and I will also grant you that the potential rewards of love are better. On the other hand, love takes a lot more work, and I'm sure arguments could be made for the diminishing returns on effort expended.

Hate is a lot easier, and unlike love, it doesn't require another person. It's totally self-contained. Quite insular, and if there's one thing I'm good at, it's insular.

/Really need to stop threadjacking.

//Maybe when I have something actually salient and useful to contribute.

///And stop reading too much Fark.
