Drama And B/s

Recommended Posts

I wish Catsyeye was on here this week. But I know some of you are pagan so here goes.

I am joining yet another coven....sigh. I am tired of being solitare....

Now the thing is, If I join this one allot of people from another one (or two) will hate me. They are at war with each other over 'ethics'.

Rumors are being spread....lies told....a couple people wrote me and said just the most outrageous crap....

I don't know why they can't leave each other alone....personally I question EVERYONES ethics....but usually keep it to myself.

This city or state with its coven fights. Most of the good one's break up over it and its sad really. I don't know why they can't all just get along.

This is why most fail if you ask me. That and not being organized.

Well I am sure I will be judged for my choice but don't care. I go where my heart leads me, which is usually into trouble, but that is my mistake to make and I am sure I have something to learn from it or I would not be drawn to it in the first place.

WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG????

I haven't had a coven for almost 10 years for that very reason. I WISH I could find one, because solitary does not work for me... but yeah. Too often it's cliques and politics and who's mad at who and who's sleeping with who... and nothing about the spirituality that everyone meets for. It sucks.

Steven's absolutely right.

You're going to find that sort of thing in everyday life all the time.

It's sad that it gets in the way of spirituality and spoils the original purpose of the coven, or any religious group for that matter, because it happens with all groups.

fact of the matter is, going by what steven said, it even happens in breakups as well. when a person or group disagrees with another person or group, they tend to stalk other said person or group, and alway spread rumors and utter bullshit.

I'v found, that everyone who complains about drama, always does the exact same thing themselves.... so in a way I guess it would be called charma.

Eh, don't worry about the haters. If there is anyone in that coven whose opinion you do truly respect and they are warning you against leaving, then you should take note. But, if it's people just spewing hate, you didn't need those people around anyway - and if they distance themselves from you for this move you're making, good - the fewer dumbasses in your life, the better.

Unorganized groups...nothing gets under my skin more than people who don't have their shit together.

Is it just me, or do other people notice the same sort of thing goes on in all religeous groups? Take a christain church, and another just down the road... GENERALLY speaking, there's a good chance that these two churchs' followers tend to run competition and state that the other one is "false", and going to "hell". Every religeon that has it's divisions seem to do just the same thing when they group up and have their own organization. That's why I've no problem not being a part of any organized religeon.

Sass you are right though, pay the haters no attention at all. Just me, I'd rather not even get in a situation that would allow haters. It's just drama that isn't needed.

Well my reason is:

Sometimes I forget or just don't have the energy to perform rituals for all the sabbats and esbats.

I am bored and lonely doing it alone or with my kids. They are not as experienced at it and I ALWAYS have to lead and do all the work. But when they are busy.......I do it alone or with one of 3 people I have been working with for years....I need a change.

And, my spell work only works on others so......we trade spell workings. I do for someone else, and they do for me.

And yes, some of it is just to celebrate with others of a like mind. Partying.....some of it.

It is no different than people wanting to go to church.

I am finding people have alterior motives....like.....getting laid. I hate that. Or just to show off or look like they know more than everyone else......

But I supose its no different than a guy/girl going to church hoping to meet someone.

You just have to figure out what amount of bullshit you are willing to put up with. There are good things to joining the coven, and there are bad things. Are there more good reasons than bad reasons? Then join. Are there more bad reasons than good? Don't join. You also have to look at how bad the negatives are and how good the positives are and decide if it's worth it.

Decided after meeting with a couple of them a few times that no, I will just stay on my own when it comes to this.

Same old crap, different day.....different people.

One is nuts.....totally.....well, a couple of them are nuts. I am talking totally looney tunes here....

Two have MAJOR ego issues.....

And its very unorganized. I think this does it for me.

Talked to someone who said she finds the same thing and thats why she stayes solitare as well...

More of a headache than a benefit.
