Creepy happenings regarding horror movies

Recommended Posts

We seem prone to notice creepy coincidences when we've been watching horror movies. Anyone else?

We had a horror marathon and my (teen) daughter and I watched both Ringu and The Ring around Halloween. We took some photos Halloween night with my digital and when they were uploaded we noticed a creepy ring thing in ALL of the photos.

It took me awhile to figure out it was just the lens cap that was hanging off the string in the way, but it was so blurry and out of focus it was truly creepy. (It was a new camera and I didn't think to hold the cap away, had just let it hang)

Yikes. It's funny now, but ... *shudder*

We had rented May on Pay-Per-View with that OnDemand feature Charter has where you can digitally rewind the movie. It was new in this area when we used it, not sure if that's why this happened, but when it got to the point at the end where she was lying down with her "friend", the scene with the arm moving got STUCK and kept rewinding and replaying OVER and OVER. Nothing worked. I even exited out of OnDemand and went back in and it was still playing those few seconds.

I had to completely unplug the box and leave it off for a few minutes to get it to stop.

hehe, I watched the Ring with a couple girls who were pretty freaked out afterwards. I went home and found a picture of them on my computer and blurred it like in the movie, and left it in their room to find later. Not coincidental, but it worked and was pretty funny

Not horror movie related, but horror game related.

When I played Silent Hill, I started "feeling in the game" just walking around town. Had me looking back over my shoulder when I thought I "saw something".

I won't play the sequel games due to that. That's the first and only time a game or movie has affected me when I'm not watching/playing it.

Being a person who has played all silent hill games - The first one was really a trip. Only because of the background music but still - playing that at 3 in the morning with a couple friends, having it blarring, yea its going to give you goose bumbs here and there... Fun memories hahahaha
