I added:

"The street team is only open to members that have at least 10 posts." to the text.

Not that 10 posts means much of anything. But, the cards while not "expensive" are also not cheap, i feel its too likely I'm just basically throwing the cards in the trash if they are requested by someone not on the board at all, or hasn't bothered to post.

I've had a lot of requests recently from people that either have no DGN account at all, or have never posted. If the cards were free I'd just send them out to everyone, but unfortunately they aren't.

I realize that its some work...i dont get out a whole lot right now but Ill have you send some to me anyway.

Though it's can be considered 'work' it's VERY beneficial. While you pass the cards out to people you can open up a conversation with someone you want to introduce yourself to, but too worried about conversation. What I did at the X Ball I used DGN as the main way to approach thee most gorgeous girls (ask Spook about this he witnessed it alot lmao). I go up to them, tell them :

"You seem like the type of person that'd be interrested in this." I then hand them the card. The I start talking about DGN, how friendly everyone is and how welcomed everyone makes you feel. Then you start talking. Though it could be 'using' DGN to your advatange, your helping DGN at the same time. So it's a win-win!!

Also, Troy (not sure if this off topic I'm sorry if it is) but for some reason alot of people thought we were the 'flame forum', I corected them, told them that was DCC not DGN and DGN is the EXACT opposite of DCC and I go into about the welcoming and what I said above, so hopefully I helped clear up that misconception. and helped DGN.

But, Troy gave us permission to put our phone numbers on the back and use the back to our personal needs. Not those words, but true. Correct me if I'm wrong Troy.

So, again, being on the street team is a win win. You help DGN while you use DGN for a reason to approach that hot guy/girl that you've been eyeing at the bar.

All good points & good post.

To respond to the quoted part above:

Yes use them for your personal info if you want to. Throw your myspace page on there, phone number, whatever. Probably will help even more.

Right now I have still have a large amount of cards left. I don't have Saturdays off, which is just about when every single local gig takes place; EVIL. However I plan on quitting my part time job and temping full time at factories to get the equipment for a business, which will give me Saturdays off; then I can work deals with clubs or promoters and get myself in as many gigs as possible selling T's, thus when potential customers come up I can hand them out cards.

It is my master plan.

But keep in mind that you can hand these cards out to anyone. Like Troy said:

You never know who might be, or might become interested. Theres plenty of people that seem 'normal' (whatever that means) that are on here.

So you can pass them out to co-workers, family, associates etc etc. Like I said, I'm going to pass one to my Doctor. She doesn't seem the type that'd be interested, but you never know!

Gave a card to a cool looking guy at the Sally beauty supply today..... he had cool hair and was wearing a Frontline Assembly shit.... :)

Sweeeeeeeet. Thats exactly what i'm talking about when i tell people they dont nessisarly have to be at a club or something to do "street team" stuff.

Also taking the time to let us KNOW that you passed out a card(s) encourages others to do the same.

i fuckin stupid or something, cause no i dont think i did, but whatever right?

hah. Yeah i mean theres no "need" to put your name on them, just makes it seem more personal (which i have to assume makes it more likely for people to show up) and helps with the whole "howd you hear about us?" thing.

Just write "Kiss The Midget" (or whatever) on the back of them. Might also wana throw your contact info or myspace or whatever on the back there too on some of them depending on who the person that your giving it to is. The back of the cards have that pale gray "DGN" logo on there so its easy to use the back as a place to write on.

Regardless though its the actual getting the word out there that's the most important. Thanks for the help. If you get close to running out again let me know. People that actually take the time to help pimp out the board are my heros.
