Ever Hear, Wow They Look Just Like You?

Recommended Posts

I duplicated myself. Yup. I take after my mums side of the family and we have the stronger gene. We look more like her, and my kids look more like me.

You can see them in public and without me being there, have had people recognize them they look so much like me! One of them, in particular. She IS like a younger me. Totally.

Something inner there even......

So my step son comes over today and OMG. It hit me. He looks JUST LIKE his dad!!! Just like him. Its funny. Then he had kids and they look nothing like him. They look JUST LIKE HER!!! One of them, her daughter is just like her.....so much so it seems inner also.....same tastes....hobbies.....speach........everything.

Just making a observation here. I guess its why we have kids even though we know we are overpopulated. If you are here then you somehow feel your important enough to be included and that....maybe somehow you should leave a piece of you behind....?

It's weird....my dad found some old pictures of my great-grandfather. He served in the navy in World War I. The picture was of his entire navy ship, you know, those pictures that look like class pictures with everyone standing in rows. I've never seen a picture of my great-grandfather. My dad put the photo down and said 'Which one is related to you?' I scanned it - first row, third from the left. My husband did the same, came to the same conclusion. We were right. Never seen the man in my life, but I know that face, I guess, as well as I know my own. And my sister's kid, he's only a year old, but he is the spitting image of my dad.

Strange how that happens, eh? I remember when I was away at college, I was at a coffee shop and this guy walked in. We couldn't stop staring at eachother, mainly because it was our own faces starting back at eachother. He kept turning around and looking at me. I kept looking at him. So, finally I approached him and asked him name. Klaus, he said. You're not from around here, I said. No, he said, I'm from Germany. What's your last name? he said.

I told him. He showed me his passport, with the same last name. We talked - he was from the same part of Germany as my family. We just kept shaking our heads...the family resemblance was so strong. I mean, the facial features were so distinct that we recognized eachother without ever having met. Thanksgiving was right around the corner, and I told him he should spend it with family, even one he didn't know. He agreed. There was alot of staring going on over the cranberry sauce that year.

This is quite interesting...and what I am talking about. Especially the one about the boat picture.....it is hard to pick someone out in a old faded black and white photo.....of someone you have never seen....but you did!

I hear there is a other Wendy in MI that looks just like me.....I bet she has a good amount of german/irish in her too.

people say that my son looks like me, then they see him with his dad and say he looks like him. my son i think sort of has my eyes (shape), but green like his dad's. he has his very own other features (mouth/nose)

my daughters however look NOTHING like me and no one ever says they do ;) i think my older daughter looks just like her dad (which GREATLY upsets her when i say that. i say "it does not mean you look like a BOY"), and has his (hazel) eyes exactly.

my youngest i've discovered looks like my aunt when she was little. but not like anyone else in my family. she has her very own look and green eyes like no one else's green eyes in my family. (there's a lot of green eyes in my family but mostly brown)

some have even said "a baby cameron diaz" about my youngest which i hate, because i don't like cameron diaz or think she is pretty- but they assured me it was a compliment.

all of them have very beautiful and different green or hazel eyes. not that that has anything to do with anything but mine are brown and nothing special but people always comment on how beautiful my kids eyes are, and how they all have different green eyes from each other.

with me and my sisters- i look like my mom and dad but a lot more like my dad. my middle sister looks like she must be a combination of both because she really looks like neither, but definately looks like my sister. and the youngest looks like my mom the most. when we are all together people say they know we are sisters.

my daughters get the same thing from people, some think they are twins even (they are 2 years apart). though i think my one looks like her dad and the other looks nothing like him...it is weird how someone can look just like someone (daughter/dad) and then they can look like someone else (sister/sister) but not look like the other person (dad)

now i am just rambling...

Don't look like my mother or father.

I look almost identical to my fathers mother though, at least when she was young.

Our son is a little mini Jarod. It's uncanny. He looks nothing like me. Red/brown hair, light blue eyes. Pasty ass white lol.

Though he did get the one thing from me I didnt want him to get. My fucking curly ass hair. Poor thing.... ::sigh::

I'm always being told that my daughters look exactly like me (and like each other). Once I was told that they looked like clones and then asked if there was a man present during the conception. When you look at pictures of them between the ages of 3 & 5 you (and me for that matter) can't even tell which one is which.

On a side note (and this is sort of freaky), my genes must be extra, extra strong :jamin because not too long ago I was getting the two youngest boy's (7 & 9) hair cut and a woman came up to me and said, "Oh they look just like you" I just smiled and said thanks....I didn't bother to tell her that I'm not actually their biological mother...go figure.
