Critter... Couldn't have said it better myself. Dammit... I wish there were more jobs in my field back in Detroit.

I totally understand why people have to move out of Michigan right now. I think it's horribly sad. I will always recommend against, but I will always understand if there's just no other real choice.

We have vowed to never, ever move out of Michigan again. But we live on a tight budget that has enabled us to make do on a single, middling paycheck.

If worse came to worst, and Jon lost his job, he and I could both go to work for just a little over minimum wage and still maintain our current lifestyle.

We would rather do that than move out of state. He's already been somewhat offered a very high paying job if he'd go to work for the same company he left in NC. He said thanks, but no thanks.

I'd like to avoid moving out of state too. I mean, I lived here my entire life. All I've ever known is here. All my family. But the way things are going as indoctor's and medicaid and other services I need, I could probably get better else where. Like I've heard nothing but good things about the doctors in Chicago. And Michigan is starting to cut back on programs due to lack of funds. Like Section 8, the program that lowers rent drastically for people on Social Security has been halted, right before we were able to get it. And Community Mental Health (CMH) has been helping me alot as in finding specific doctors and getting the papers I need to get my insurance to pay for my transportation to doctor appointments and much more, is also starting to lose funds and I may lose my case worker. Which I'm really, really worried about.

It just seems that Michigan is the last state on the 'important states to take care of' list, and I'm afraid of being stuck in a situation where I recieve no help when I need it most...
