Msterbeau
Love and relationships are messy. Very messy. That's all I have to offer for today.
Onyx
it REALLY shocks me when i hear people say they don't believe in love and have never been in love. what? really? how can you have NEVER been in love? why is that? how is that even possible?? i have a friend who is about my age (33ish) who has told me he has never told someone he loved them/has never been in love. it really does surprise me since i have been in love many times. in love, real love. how can someone my age have never loved yet?? I had never comprehended or experienced love - the kind of love with a capital L. I had experienced emotional fondness, lust, friendship, but never ever love until a few years ago. All of a sudden I understood all the stupid sickening love songs I'd always made fun of. Suddenly they all made sense.
Destroit
See I'm in the "don't know if I've been in full infatuating love". I think that stuff is all in movies. I've definately felt lust, and since I'm not a random one-night-stand kind of person, let's just say I've gotten in monogamous relationships for all the wrong reasons. I'm strange, I know. I think I may have felt full true on love, but since I don't know what it feels like, I couldn't really tell you. The man I'm with right now though, I care about him more than I've cared about anyone else I've ever been with, so if that isn't love, it's close enough for me. Lol and Onyx, I still make fun of those songs, so maybe I haven't experienced the whole infatuating love deal yet. Who knows, I might never, but I have always been very detached from myself, others, and surroundings.

People ask me that a lot. It's not like I know! It's just never happened. It's not like I see it coming at me and say "Ooo, here comes love, better avoid it!" I've dated but it never developed into anything. I've had strong feelings for people, people have had feelings for me. They've never been the same people. EAF (1)
I don't want to believe in love anymore, but infortunatly I do...people always make fun of me for my plain and blunt honesty when it comes to love...When I care for someone I want them to know...so when I get a cruch I tell him up front no bullshit that I like him, now it might take a little while because I am scared but I always try to tell him...it doesn't matter if the guy is in person or on the net though they always say no for one reason or another...no one will even give me a chance... Love to me is one of the most important things in life, way beyond money, or even a career...(and my writing is important to me!) I used to never tell people when I liked them and lost a lot of potential "what if's" that way...so I decided never again would I get a crush and not tell them... As far as what I believe in...I believe that everyone has one person for them, you can fall in love with many people and love people in many different ways, but no one but that one person will ever love you back equally in the same way...so I believe that is why people get hurt and try and try again in love even though it is a sick a twisted part of life at times. Homicidalheathen
One of my kids wont at this point in life let it happen. Dunno if she is just scared or more advanced spritually but I just hope she knows she is missing one of the most intense experiences as a human you can have, reguardless of the outcome. I don't butt in but I hope she knows what she is doing.... Tis better to have loved and lost for me.
Absinthe
I believe in soul mates, true love, kindred spirits...all that jazz. However, do I believe there is someone out there for everyone??? To that I have to say no.
Shade Everdark
Okay, I lied. I don't have the energy or the current state of mind to respond to what I wanted to respond to. I'll leave it at this. Alceste = my hero. The Misanthrope.
