Peoples Intentions

Recommended Posts

So this guy I know and I were talking and something he said made me wonder if he is good friend material......someone should be happy of your well being no?

He said 'I wish I had blah blah blah....' almost like he was jelous or something......

I hate it when people do that.

Isn't the proper (not that there is a 'proper' response) gee I am glad for you.......ect.....ect....

You know?

Because I have seen this before and it never ends up pretty.

Half the people I know hate him, the other half love him......so I wanted to give him a chance is all.

But if he is harboring wierd feelings......I want to just keep him at a distance. You know?

Can't say I EVER said that to someone. I wish I had, whatever it was they had......I may think it, but at least I don't say it. Usually just......I am glad for you.....blah blah.....you know?

its "normal" to think this way..

"human nature"..

but like you said, most of us try to control this animalistic, survival side.. whatever you want to call it.

you dont say these things...

see things from another persons perspective and be happy for them..

this isnt a very elaborate story that you posted, but i wonder about people when their response to something new and good in my life is "i wish i had that".. and after more conversation, you realize its not a general statement but a specific one.. "i want the exact thing that you have"..

*gulp*

Some people are JEALOUS... and they dont wish to change themselves.

If someone said that in a joking way, then said they were happy for me I'd let it go, but if they were seriously not happy for me, then I'd likely not consider them friend material at all.

I'm actually running into this type of thing myself now that I'm close to getting my own house. No reason not to be happy for me as far as I am concerned because it's not like I had anything handed to me. I've worked my ass off for years and years to get to this point.

That type of jealousy in an adult is a pathetic thing.

'but if they were seriously not happy for me, then I'd likely not consider them friend material at all.'

I am wondering if he is friend material.....always looking on the dark side of things....not that it is all bad I guess. I am tired of hearing about it.

Can't take all this talk of evilness and evil does and just evil all the time. :alien:

If you look for it hard enough, you will find it....or it will find you.

He complains he has no time for positive relationships........but spends all his time helping friends who are wrought with problems of evilnesses........

I told him to concentrate on himself and not others so much.

But I don't want to hang out with him if even just through his mood he is effecting us in a bad way......

He seems jealous of our family or something. Not sure. Lately we have all been getting along better and spending more time together......

This guy lost custody of his kids unjustly :starwars: . I feel for him but......its time to move on. Maybe find a girl with kids?

I don't know if he can be happy for anyone ever at this point.....always looking at the dark side luke skywalker, is not healthy.

ok that's quite a bit lamer than just being envious of stuff you got. one can be a positive person and still be envious- in fact, that's my M.O. all the time! but if the guy says he has no time for positive relationships, he EXPECTS things to go badly with you and if they don't he'll get bored anyway. I'd get rid of his ass with a quickness.

lol, uh, no. He's already got kids to build a relationship with, and if he gets no visitation at ALL, he needs to rebuild his relationship with the mother. dragging another family into it... lol... people do such crazy things
