Right!! Because if phasers were used, they wouldn't actually hit themselves, they'd hit the wall behind them...no matter HOW close they were!! Haha!! (Making a joke at the fact that no matter how much the stormtroopers aim they always hit the wall instead)

Well, the Stormtrooper comment is right on. they can't seem to hit anything. Speaking of Stormtroopers...has anyone seen the Stars Wars minis that are put out on the net by fans? There's one out there that has a Stormtrooper get injured, it's really very funny. Basically the other troopers don't know what to do with him because no Stormtrooper has ever survived a battle, they always die so they have never experienced an injury. I'm not sure where exactly to find it or I would provide a link, R is the one who showed me. I'll try to remember to ask him.

As for the phaser comment...that was my ill attempt to begin a debate between Star Wars fans and Trekkies. Oh well...

ahh trekkie! No, man kind has prooven it's self to be dumb enough to be able to end their own through accidental use o swords, chainsaws, guns ect. a phaser is sorta like a pistol or hand gun. And yes, there's jackasses that have shot themselves with a pistol in a life ending spot. Same could hold true for phasers.

And I have to sympasize with the storm troopers, I've had to practice shooting a rifle with a gas mask on, and it makes things a bit trickier... yet that's at 200-500 meters/yards. Luke and his posse are usually only 20-50 feet away.

Ahh, well technically we do live below poverty level Then again, so does almost half of America. Maybe that's why there are so many Trekkies.

Seriously though, I'm of the original Star Trek generation; it was there long before Star Wars. In fact, I had watched Star Trek for at least 10-13 years before Stars Wars came out, so I guess (even though I do like Star Wars), I'll always be a Trekkie at heart. No one, not even Darth, can take the place in my heart reserved for Captain James T. Kirk of the U.S.S. Enterprise.
