But yeah, if somone can tell me how to install drives i'd very appretiate it very much (and if it works, I just might be able ta buy whoever gave me the info a drink at cc :wink : )

whats a drive? isn't that what happens in a car.

jokes aside. some info on your hardware would help alot. drives are fairly easy to install. Is the pc your having trouble with the one your using now to post and whatever else? If your HD is physically able to read/write than its probably just a matter of reformat and reinstall OS. kinda hard to troubleshoot this without knowing more info about your problem.

These kind of instructions?:

How to Install a Computer Program Safely

  Steps:

1.   Place the floppy disk or CD-ROM containing the program in the appropriate drive.

2.   Note that most of the time, a window will immediately appear asking if you want to install the program. Click Install.

3.   If a window doesn't appear, open the Start menu and select Settings, then Control Panel.

4.   Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

5.   In the top part of the window that appears, click Install.

This is another one of them "cant answer it very well without really understanding the question". I assume hes saying you have to re-install every last thing from the operating system (Windows, Linux or whatever) and all the programs (games , applications etc)

Most any software you have that is store bought should have instructions like "how to install" in it.

Just taking a completely wild guess and assuming Windows XP as your operating system heres a "how to install Windows XP" article that covers it pretty well:

http://www.blackviper.com/Articles/OS/Inst...tallxphome1.htm

You can find similar guides like that for whatever OS you have.

If hes talking about "Drivers" and not "Drives" .....

heres another article (might be totally meaningless depending on what OS you are using)

Not trying to get nasty, DC, don't take it that way . . . . but if there were no drives installed, he wouldn't be out on the 'Net, eh?

Lol no offense tookin, but I guess your right though. I just dont know jack shit when it comes to fixing or identifying computer problems, sorry about that guys. But of course I can read/write on websites and message boards, and I can write in one of the instant messagers, but I just cant see the word/letters in the instant messangers, however I learned a trick to see them though, I just highlight the letters and there they are. The graphix are still funky looking, but oh well, in order ta get this solved I just need somone ta actually be here and look at it, I've been talking ta peeps around here about it and had no luck yet, so yeah, if anyone would like to volunteer let me know

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Are the graphics funky looking in your messenger program only or do all programs and desktop show funky graphics? I would check the fonts(make sure they arn't the same color as the backround, lol) in your messenger first, but if all the graphics in all programs look like crap than next check your video card. Could be as simple as updating VC drivers or as annoying as swappin in a new card. You may also want to check your display settings, check your colors and resolution. Unfortuantly, I don't live anywhere near mount clements otherwise I'd look at it for ya.
