Threads that were last replied to long ago keep popping up to the top of the "View New Posts".

Wassupwitdat?

Uh. Do you mean that threads that haven't been replied to recently are listed above threads that were more recently active?

I don't have that problem, but the little "go to first unread post" isn't working. It's jumping automatically to the top of the page the first unread post is on. =) This seemed like a good place to bitch about that.

The only thread I've noticed that kept popping back up from the dead was my poll about my identity. I figured it out that people kept voting on it even after I told who I was on the thread. Since it had no further use I did away with the poll so people couldn't vote. Fortunately, that sunk it back down to DGN's graveyard of forgotten threads once again.

*points finger at self*

*big toothy grin*

I like oldies.

I have tendencies to pull old dead posts up from Graveyard DGN and wipe the dirt off and shake em up and post.

*whispers*

..i see dead posts..

..and now? they live.

Theoretically all them little links should be gone, but my last pass though the skins just left it alone. That thing as always been half-assed and doesn't seem to play very nice with peoples cookies. But since it literally has only maybe one unique user per week, it seemed better just to remove it.

Well, I'll keep an eye out for this. Best thing I'd guess, is i you see a necropost, check the last entry's date. If it's a recent date, then someone necroposted...sybil hahaha...

If there wasn't a recent entry, make sure it's not a poll. Thats what I noticed with my poll, a new vote would bring it back up to the top. So that's why I edited the the poll out.

Now if the thread isn't a poll, and there's no recent date on the last entry, then it could be a bug, but so far you're the only one that seems to have noticed this. But like i said, since you mentioned it, I'll try to help out by keeping an eye out.

Not trying to play mod, just stating what I've seen to try helping.

I'm guilty... I have been going back to old posts and reviving them... if I should do that please say so and I will refrain.

Sorry.....

*hides*

No no no... Not that. By long ago I mean more then a few hours. Like... a thread that was last replied in four hours ago will suddenly be above many threads that were JUST replied to.

DGN Demons from ancient times iz possessin' tha board.

ONLY logical explination, someone call an excorsist asap!

I prefer the term "ghosts" demons is ... a bit harsh. You meanie. :spank

I have that issue every now and then.

The thing with the "slightly older" posts sometimes appearing above "actually new" posts in the topics list I've seen myself. Not really sure whats going on with that. Seems like it could be cookie / time / server / client confusion. Like the board things that "current time" is one thing, your computer thinks its something else.

Each page is made "for you" specifically. Every time you click on a link the pages are all sorted due to your settings / cookies like your own little pocket DGN dimension. So if the universe gets created, but the time info the the DGN gods have to create that universe isn't exactly right it will end up looking... "wonky" (actual scientific term is "Wonkified" i belive)
