haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

o man is this all too familiar right about now.

Well, I'd like to say FUCK IT! and go and do what I want, but I am inhibited by whats right...defiantely.

And it hasn't come without its costs.

But at the same time, I'm sure there woulda been even more hell to pay in the long run...

I think....

It kills me to not know,.....

But I think I did the right thing....for now.

do you understand?

I hope not.

Cause I'm trying to be not obvious.

:whistle::unsure:

I have found that the less I speak up for myself and the more I try to fade into the background in authoritative situations the worse I feel about myself, but when I actually buck the system (in order to stand up for what I feel is correct for myself or other's) I end up in an even worse hole. I KNOW I am not nearly as rebellious and I was when I was adolescent and post adolescent, but I know I am not as timid in the face of "The Man" as I was just a year ago (aside from the occasional protest). I guess I have gotten fed up in my later years and I fear authority a little less each time I speak my mind.

I wish I could loosen up and say 'fuck the man' more than I do, but it's too much trouble.

Rules/laws are there for a reason. So I do what I'm told.

I think in modern political terms anarchism means basically "extreme personal freedom regardless of how it effects others... laws be damned".

If i had to pick one of the choices listed, it would be somewhere between the two quoted there. It really has nothing to do with "being uptight" for me since my thinking on is that generally laws are within what i would call my "personal choice" range of freedom. Meaning i wouldn't really do much that is outside the laws as they exist anyway, or at least I'd try not to due to my world view. But, on the things that i do think are bullshit, I'd rather work on changing the law if its such a huge deal than letting everyone just pull whatever ethical system they feel like out their asses.

I'm also strongly of the belief that there are things that are wrong "in essence" vs things that are wrong "in law". But, in modern western culture we've done at least a reasonably good job i think of coming close to a system of law that is mostly derived from things that are truly wrong "in essence". Not everything that's for damn sure, but probably better than any other previous time in history have we "got it right". There's a lot to bitch about, but there is a lot more that is just fine, which we take for granted.

The closest of the four political "cardinal direction" 'political stances' to Anarchism is Libertarian. (random comment)

well... i'm a leftwing person. to the extreme i'd say. but anarchist? nah. most anarchist are 13-16 years old teens who just learned to spell the word revolution.. i do not believe in throwing over the system just like that. the specie homo sapiens are not developed enough for that kind of freedom. sure there is some who higher developed humans that can withstand the temptation to just murder and plunder, but there will always be the "semi-intelligent" ones. those who use the fist because they can't use the brain and blame everybody else they are poor..*coughnaziscough* if we could learn them to be polite and tolerant, maybe we could make an anarchy, but not a sec before:S

Life is a game, I say cheat. The only breaks you'll ever get are the ones that randomly happen (few and far between) and the ones you make for yourself.

But I have to be able to get away with it. I wouldn't do well in prison.

interesting way of thinking..

But the fact that you are knowingly "cheating" means, (to me at least), that when you do get caught and go to prison you have no one to blame but yourself also you have to reason to bitch that you are there cuz you knew it was wrong in the first place.

Most people know it's wrong, they still don't care. Hell the president should be impeached for all the stuff he's pulled. Paris Hilton got a week in jail (not sure how long it was, seemed like a week anyhow). The system is corrupt and flawed in so many ways and if you have fame/money you can get away with anything just about. Hell I still believe O.J. got away with murder.

I'm way too paranoid to get caught. Just have to be careful not to overlook anything and realize that there are people out there who's only job is to put people in jail. The law and justice are often two very different things as well.

But you're right, if I do get caught I'll admit my guilt and be proud of it. Then I'll cite why it's unjust and probably kill myself before I hit hardcore ass-pounding prison. If I'm lucky I'll get a nice white collar resort, then again that's also reserved for the rich usually.
