The show is still two months off, but here is a recent review of Franz & Shape's LP Acceleration - excerpt:

This is tough and rigid electro from Franz & Shape, custom built for dark rooms with leather walls where everyone dances in motor bike helmets. It smacks of sexual hedonism and narcotic revelry and you can smell the stale sweat as every track licks your ear... like aural S&M, ‘Acceleration’ is a perfect title for their debut. Basslines rev like an angry Ducati, synths whip the air like rusty motor bike chains, and kick drums pump like filthy pistons.

Accleration now on Beatport and iTunes.

'Maximum Joy' feat. Dirk Da Davo of The Neon Judgement sample clip here

As noted, this will be the first live Kill Memory Crash show in a year and a half, and the first time featuring a third member on drums.  Expect previews of new material from their upcomig release on Ghostly.

The PEOPLESKILLS remix EP - for which this will be the official release party - features reworks by The Hacker, Franz & Shape, Kill Memory Crash, and Goudron.  Perspects will also be debuting an all new live show with new songs and visuals.

A proper flyer is forthcoming.  I'm hoping to top this and this.

  • 1 month later...

Franz & Shape have postponed their US tour for reasons beyond our control (mostly promoters in other cities being flaky.)  However we have found a great replacement in the form of synth-pop gurus and analog fetishists Travelogue.

Although we're as bummed as Francesco and Chris that they can't make it this time, we're really excited to have Travelogue.  They come by highest recommendation from Solvent, and are pure synth-pop bliss.  Check out their most recent music videos

target="_blank.

Remember, this is Perspects' record release party for the Peopleskills Remix EP and the first live Kill Memory Crash show since DEMF '06 and the world debut of their new live set with a live drummer.  Both Perspects and Kill will be performing new material for the very first time on the 15th.

See the top of this page for the new poster/flyer.

cheers

Just talked to Kill.

They're super excited for next Saturday and are bringing a bunch of smoke machines and strobe lights and evil stuff like that.

And their new drummer - from Kompute, Chicago - is apparently "sick".

(In the good way.)

If I haven't already said this like three times, this one-off will be Kill's first live show in a year and a half, debuting an all new live production and material from their upcoming release on Ghostly.
