So are any of you ungrateful jerks gonna buy me one yet?

Looking to jump-start sales of its PlayStation 3 game system, Sony (SNE) has cut the price by $100, to $499, and plans to introduce a $599 package with a larger (80-gigabyte vs. 60-GB) hard drive and one game next month. Most analysts were surprised at the price cut's timing and size. "We would have figured $50 by Christmas and $100 by next spring," says Richard Doherty of research firm The Envisioneering Group.

I noticed the price cut! I have to get a PS3 before RE5 comes out so I hope they continue to go down in price over the next year.

I have a Wii and love it for the sports games and the old downloads, but the other games, at this point, aren't too great. I know they are coming out with Umbrella Chronicles for the wii, but I heard it wasn't going to be very good. I hope that isn't true.

it's looking like they may have stopped producing the 60 gig version now, entirely, and come christmas we'll be stuck with only the 80 gig bundle at $600. it's bullshit how there's conflicting information even among the upper ranks about that, though.
