I read that those were just hoaxes and BS....

Nope. As I noted in my previous post, I have a copy. I also have the book now, so have no use for the copy. It's a 70 some odd MB collection of jpegs that were photographed from each page of the book. It's definitely not the best, but it is barely legible as long as you zoom in quite a bit.

I'm 11 chapters away from done ... over half ... Great book so far.

Stood in line at Border's for an hour at 12 midnight on the release day - I wasn't guarenteed a book since we didn't make it there by 10 and we were still about 3 hours back in line, I was sooooo upset, I drove from A2 to stand in line in Dearborn and couldn't even get a book ... so my friend had me call around and we found that Meijer's had PLENTY left, so we went there and got them. No lines or anything.

Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to read it, but in the short time I have had I've finished 9 chapters. It's hard to put down, but I don't really have a choice with all the work I have going on. =/

If your ever in that kind of situation again. The Meijers at Zeeb and Jackson is one of the least used stores for things like that. Its not on most peoples mind set yet and isn't in most peoples drive patterns. They had a palet of them sitting out when I was in there release day morning. With only 2 or 3 books missing from it.

I picked mine up on Saturday at about noon at Toys R US. I thought I had preordered it from amazon, but apparently not. I freaked when it didnt come in the mail..... So I was expecting a big line at Toys R Us, but walked up to the table, grabbed it, paid, and left. No problems. Began reading it outside of Midas on 12 Mile while I was getting a flat tire taken care of. I had a young couple roll down their window and ask me if it was good. All i could manage was a smile and a thumbs up and continued reading.

:thumbs up:

YAY!!!!

even the flat tire didnt bug me that much this weekend!

I got my copy of it on Saturday & started reading it. I went ahead just to skim through some of the pages & found that on some of the pages the print is so light that I can't read it. So, needless to say, I had to send it back because it's defective.(I got mine from Amazon) I stopped on page 240. Now I'm gonna have to wait til I get back from vacation before I can finish reading it; I'm so bummed(and pissed). :verymad: I figure it won't come in the mail til before I get back from CO.

holy moly! you shouldn't have sent it back.. any harry potter book that has misprints or defective printing will be worth a bundle in the future... eek!

The colber report opening 7.23.07

that's basically what it was like trying to talk to me this weekend.

Yeah, I thought about that, but I'm more concerned about having a copy that isn't defective. That's just me though. :happydance

I received my replacement book in the mail yesterday after I sent the defective book back on Monday. That was very quick. Now I can take my book with me when I leave for vacation. My hubby, daughter & I are leaving on Tuesday for about three weeks. We'll be in Colorado but I'm hoping that my hubby will have his laptop with him so I can post on here while I'm away.:peanutbutterjellytime:
