crunchy_pickle (5)
Digging through the trenches, Through the mirky waters. Thinking of the past lives, That have come and gone. Rise above the chaos, Running through the bullets, Searching for new shelter, But I am all alone. Nothing seems to feel right, Everywhere I'm looking, Spies inside the network, Trapped inside a cage. Feeling through the darkness, I see your reflection, Sense it's just my madness, Fury, doubt, and rage. Anger is a pastime, Sadness is a friend. You're my disappointment, When will this all end. Drugs are just an excuse, For me to keep on breathin'. Can't you see we're drowning? Fighting for our freedom. Stand against the system, Beaten to the ground, They don't hear our voices, Screaming out for peace. We put up a white flag, Terms of our surrender, Just protect our children, But warcries never cease. We are now the terrorists, Being charged for war crimes, We will walk in silence, Working to the grave. Just until one more suit, Gets himself an office, Dictating our duty, To God and the depraved. Jesus Christ my witness, Knows we don't endorse this, But it is our indifference, That keeps us thus enslaved. He will not hear our cries, If we don't open our throats, Marching to a cadence, And coming through in waves.
