I used to have quite a few piercings but took most out. Now all that's left are 4 in my ears.. but my eyebrow, vertical labret, tongue and nipples and upper ear/cartilege are taken out. I think I'm getting my tongue redone soon, I just miss it.

If you've not got your tongue done, as most would tell you, it doesn't hurt much at all, just the weirdness of the swelling (tho some have no swelling) and the odd jewelry in your mouth takes getting used to.

tattoos.. I have none. I want a LOT.

I have a question for the general public here... Are BUTTERFLY tattoos totally overdone on women do you think?

Scars, I have a lot, none are where or what I'd like them to be, nor were most* on purpose.

My opinion on butterflies is; yes they are overdone, but I feel if its your body and you like butterflies get one, if you don't want to get bunched in with everyone else's butterflies find a unique one. I wanted a butterfly or a fairy of some sorts but I don't want to be lumped into everyone else as well, which explains why I havn't gotten any other tattoos, I want all mine to be unique so when I show them off people won't think: yea seen it before.

I have a question as well. Most people don't like or look down upon "tramp stamps." I personally like them if they actually are unique and what I'll be getting there will not be something everyone has seen on all the tramps. lol.

What are your opinions on them? I'll most likely get a tat there regardless of what negativity people will say about them, I'm just curious as to what other dgner's are thinking.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is a corset & labret piercing?

As far as piercings go I have three in each ear & I have a tattoo of a rose w/wings which is located on my right hip.

I believe the corset piercing is where they put rings in and then lace it up like the lacing on a corset. Labret is the one below the lower lip.

As far as a tramp stamp, I don't see them that way and I think they are hot depending on what is there.

Well myself. I have 9 tatts.

A bleeding heart on left breast

A heartgram with wings on my chest

A dragon, Fairy and Crossband with Tombstone including my name on right arm

Left arm has a goth girl, a crescent moon and ivy, my name with a skull, and on the back of my neck I have a gothic godsmack sun with "Destiny written in Japanese"

No more piercings. I had 8, but tookem all out

Hey sweets, nice to see you posting. Miss you and we haven't even met yetNeed pics of the tats. My niece might be getting one for her 17th B-Day and the heartgram would be nice. Yes I would change it so it wasn't a direct copy. Left you a message on myspace too.

I agree...although most tongue piercings don't hurt, the more scar tissue you have to go through the more it will hurt and the longer it takes to heal. Just an icky process all around.

I've only had my tongue done once. A couple years ago and I've kept it.

It didn't hurt. Not at all actually. I was surprised.

It was sore for a few days though.

I am SO wanting to get my tongue pierced.

my family is totally against it but its my body not theirs!

I like the piercings.

How long do you have to keep the original piece in your tongue before you can change it?

it depends on how well your tongue is healing, usually 1 to 2 weeks tho

It depends on healing. I couldn't take mine out for about 4 weeks, then it took me awhile to get used to switching them ... that is a tiny little hole to line up and screw on ... took lots of practice. I still can't leave it out for more than a few minutes (2 years later) or it starts to close.

Mine took longer to heal though because my immune system is really weak to begin with, so I healed slowly. Honestly, I got my second set done in my ears in February and they STILL aren't healed all the way, I'm still having trouble every now and then.

Good for you... too many people get bodywork done just 'cos it's fashionable or cool or whatever... tattoos especially should have deep personal meaning, not just reflect some transient whim or fad.

Every single tatoo that I have has deep meaning to me. I wouldn't have it any other way. I've met WAY too many people who want their monster-sized Marilyn Manson tattoo covered for their wedding. No offense, but that's just stupid.

"Hey babe! Let's go get a butterfly on our boob."

17 years later, it's a fucking Pteradactyl.

I had major problems with my 2nd healing.

Turns out, the extra-thick post they put in for original piercing kept splitting the hole back open. I switched to a normal gauge post, and it healed in a week.

hmm... lets see.

Piercings I have now: Each ear is pierced twice, but I never wear earings.

Tats I have now: My real name on my arm (kind of like a name tag, if I die and someone can identify me by that, unless it gets cut off then, blah) and I have a dragon on my right shoulder blade, more on my back then anything.

Retired piercings: My tongue

Tats I want in the future: My memorial tats. A black top hat for Tazz, A small cheshire cat for cheshire, a spider web and spider for bill, a cross surrounded by fire for Prophet of my own destruction aka Joe, a golf club for my cousin carli, an american flag for 9/11... I think thats about it. Heh, if I don't just get those symbols, then I might design a grave yard on my back, and give each person their own head stond. I dunno. Something to think about.

I have 3 piercings in each ear (not gauged, gauged looks bad on me) and my left cartilage (well, ok... 14 gauge, but it was pierced at that) and a tattoo on my left shoulder of a tiger.

I have plans for 7 more tattoos, the next one being dogtags on my foot and up my leg in memorial of my grandpa

And want my tragus and conch pierced on my right ear. I've also been looking into an industrial.

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
