Well, besides the obvious (Tips hat to Msterbeau :bow ) Brenda and I are opening up a studio in our basement. I'm actually getting the final pieces necessary to start ...TODAY! :happydance:w00t: :w00t: :w00t::happy:

So yeah, I'm rather stoked and looking forward to building the portraiture portfolio up! So, we're game!!!

I'm game. One of my limitations to date has been a lack of cool props. I have a great camera and lighting equipment... I might even be a decent photog! :secret:

Jeff and I are on our way to FINALLY getting our photographic shit together. I need to do some sweet new shots soon...

Yeah, in addition to the backdrops, lighting, a few hats/costume-ish getups, a huge broadsword, several knives, a plethora of guns Brenda is a makeup wizzard and I have been something of a photographer for over 20 years. I've professionally done weddings, sports, and events throughout the years and have always been an outdoors/wildlife enthusiast. So hopefully I'll be able to pursue this new avenue, with the same kind of success I've had with the others in the past.

I'm still interested as a photographer. But now that I am jobless, I don't have access to the field anymore. Still have all the props, swords, airsoft weapons and such. Still have no ride tho. But I am available all the time for now.

Would love to arrange something... I just want to use you for your props.. :p I'd be happy to provide a ride.

Hey DGNers... we could start up our own photo site. freewebs has a nice site set up. We could do that there.. that would be awesome (or maybe some other site, that offers free hosting or for a small fee every month or something) its just an idea.

or each photographer and model could have their own site and link them all to the one big site. MM is very selective about who they let on the site (Ice Queen got turned away 3 times before they accepted her sign up... if that tells you anything)

its just an idea. :)

you can also buy your own domain name, through the site, for only $19.99/yr. I think that covers the domain and the site. I'm sure there are other sites that are cheaper. its just an idea. :)

I have an online store through that site, if you want to look at a basic business design. http://iammeclothingdesign.webs.com/

Its still under heavy construction, though. One of us could volunteer to run the main site. I can do that, if no one else wants to. :) Each person would be in charge of running their own personal sites. :)

Just an idea to throw around. :)

Excellent idea... I can offer web hosting through QuickestResponse.com and would be willing to put together a special free package just for DGN people and discounted rates for anyone who needed something more than the free package. You could design your own sites or I could design them at a low cost. As for domain names, I can register them for $12.95/yr.

Seriously.. Why would we need a separate DGN site for that? There are picture forums for that. If you want to create a model site, then do it. I don't think it needs to be associated with DGN and you might have trouble convincing Troy to allow the name to be used for that purpose.

my idea had nothing to do with the DGN name....... 0.o and MY idea had nothing to do with him making money. the site I suggested is FREE.... :p

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm funny about for whom, and for what purpose I choose to shine for..

For me to put my facial likeness anyplace on the internet is a BIG step, and a cautious one.

FYI, I'd only put select photos on my page for promotional purposes (ie, as a part of my professional portfolio), and with the models permission. If you don't want any on my web site, they stay in "our" collections only. Period. That's how I roll. ;)
