Not always. Some brands are good quality, it is true. Others, though, you might as well establish a line of credit for how often you'd be replacing it.

this is kind of what I was trying to get at. I know manufacturers like gucci, charge alot for their stuff. Sometimes its justifiable. You pay alot for good quality, but some of them, as was my original thought, I suspect are just gouging the price like gas ya know...

I disagree.

I think it was a legitimate question.

I guess some things make sense to some people and not to others..

But it's GUCCI!!!

And it's PRETTY!!

And sometimes pretty things with pretty names cost more than my house payment.

Of course they're gouging. Because they know that people don't care and will buy it anyway.

I'm sure Payless will make some knockoff version and I'll buy that, but still if I could have a REAL pair, well, that needless to say when people ask what I would take out of my house if it were burning down, that answer would be a slam dunk.

Well to each, their own.

If you want to buy a pair of shoes that costs more then your house payment, then go for it, you only live once.

Just don't go using your house payment money to buy said pair of shoes lolol. A roof over yer head Is more important then pretty shoes lolol.

I actually heard one woman answer that way, kinda. She said if her house was burnign down, she would have her Gucci in one hand and her daughter in other. I always wondered which she grab first.

Man, no one on here is actually going to BUY those shoes.

I mean, I'm vain, but I'm not a moron.

Just because I can't afford them doesn't mean I can't like them.

Dang it! And I'm having twins, so I'd have baby in each arm. I'll sleep with the shoes under my under my pillow. That's the ticket! I can't very well run outside without shoes on anyway. ;)

LOL! For me it would be my computer backup disc cause it has all my songs and poems on it......the kids are faster than me anyway and would beat me out of the house no doubt.

Oh and my pets. Pets first then the disc.

*LOL* The pets might be faster than you, too!

but you'd be paying a humungus coin just for the name on them. Is it worth it ?

Duh ... that's why you buy LAST season's style's for CHEAP at retail outlets.

Actually, I have a pair of Gucci heels somewhere in my garage, bought at an outlet for less than $30.

For example, I just bought myself some DVS sandels yesterday at the Journey's Outlet in Howell. $69.99 MSRP ... I paid $9.99. I bought my daughter a pair of Roxy shoes today. I paid $10.00 on clearance from Marshall's ... retail was $89.99.

... I've never paid full price for a pair of shoes ... ever ... and all mine are name brands.

LOL, and come to think of it, rarely ever clothes either ... I loves me some outlet shopping!

I just bought myself an Etienne Aiger handbag today, real leather, sylish and great for court. $99.99 retail - I paid $12.99.

I bought a Liz Claibourne business suit the other day ... Retail - $109 for the pants, $199 for the jacket. I paid $75 for the set.

Seriously, I don't know why people bother paying "full price".

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
