Details:

We live in Wyandotte.

It's a 2-level house. We have the downstairs, you'd have the upstairs. Separate entrances. We share a basement, but it's separated by a wall & locked door.

I've checked out the upstairs when newly vacated & still messy. It was recently cleaned up - nice appliances installed.

An interesting 3-bedroom setup. Living room has a fireplace, but I don't know if it's functional.

$650 a month, extra $25 a month if you want a dog. It'd have to get along with our German Shepherd.

We're supposed to share yardwork. Jon likes doing it all himself, so no need really.

I believe it has central air. We don't, so bonus up there.

We are quiet. We like goth music, and James Taylor, and everything in between. But we're REALLY conscientious about neighbors.

We have 12 cats but only reported 2 to the landlord. So you need to keep SECRETS. (One reason we'd love it if a DGNer moved in)

You have to pay your rent on time. The landlord is great, but he really deserves a renter who will pay on time.

We live 200 feet from a Polish Catholic church with bells that ring out at 6:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, and 6:00 p.m. every day. They also peal during masses and church holidays. We don't even hear them anymore.

The neighborhood is QUIET.

The dog is friendly - but don't come in our unit uninvited. He will bark at unknown noises, but is otherwise damned quiet. He'll get used to the noises you make upstairs after time.

We are polite, friendly, but can be anti-social. So basically, we won't bug you. :)

Landdlord prefers non-smokers. So do we, as for some reason, smoke from upstairs leeches into our bedroom. I'm highly sensitive to smoke, and it makes me have really nasty allergy attacks.

We kinda bogart the porch to be honest. After all, it basically buts up against our bedroom.

The Vinewood bakery is about 1 block away - and ROCKS.

You didn't hear this from me - the landlord didn't bother with a credit check on us. We were honest and told him up front we have horrible credit. He said so long as we pay on time, he's cool. We've been late a couple times and he hasn't said a word. Matter of fact, he's been over recently and was nothing but nice. He doesn't come around personally often, but he does drive by occasionally.

We don't do drugs, and aren't real cool with living in close proximity to people who do. Don't ask, don't tell, but we don't want to smell it. There are rules about it in the lease.

We're open-minded, non-bigoted, get along great with people of all persuasions.

Sex is generally quiet as we're not screamers. Well, not usually.

No utilities are paid for. He delivers water bills every month and we split them. You pay your own electric & gas.

I don't work out of the house and am home most all day. The dog is spoiled and stays inside with me most of the time.

Any more questions, lemme know. :)

I'd be interested, but it may be a few months yet. So, if it doesn't move, contact me. I was just living in Wyandotte and had to move back in with the folks due to a separation between my wife and I. Please keep me in mind.

Also, if you're looking for something quicker, Pete K. (formerly of Backspace) lives in Wyandotte but may have to move shortly (landlord died suddenly, family is looking to sell). They have cats and stuff, too.

Anyone - and I mean ANYONE - who is interested, drop me a PM. Let me know how you or someone you're nominating measures up to what I posted above.

Not that I have the final say in who the landlord "moves in," but he has given us some power of veto.

Frankly, I'd rather have someone of like-mind move in. Most importantly - someone who is mindful and respectful of their neighbors, and who will NOT BLAB to the landlord or neighbors about the true number of pets we maintain.

Our last neighbor - the reason we moved out of the last place we lived in Wyandotte - was a psychotic loser asshole with more drugs in his brain than neurons. He didn't understand why the answer to his question, "when is it o.k. for me to play my bass amp, surround-sound DVD player and stereo full-blast?" was "never, when you have neighbors in such close proximity."
