When it rains it poors...

..isn't that how the saying goes? Well, towards New Years this year I guess you could say I had a bit of a preminition. I knew last year being so great would mean this year would be one of those where everything goes wrong, not just from past experience as this is usually how things roll in my life, but an honest to good gut feeling.

Few things have gone wrong, if you read these then you know I was mad at my parents for 'forgetting' my kids graduation. Well I had to contact them about some legal matter and found out my dad was going in for a check up....well he has lukemia, it won't effect him for awhile...but still.....he lied to us all for 6 months saying it was nothing.

Seems he sorta already had it figured out.

Seriously though there are so many family members and friends with this from there I do think there is something going on.....the soil or water.

So maybe someday the government will admit some wrong doing and compensate its citizens but I doubt it.

I have like 3 cousins and an uncle and now my dad with this.

And most of them garden and are outdoorsie types.

Also, my parents have numerous friends with the same kind of lukemia down there...

Must be something up.

Sounds like a definite "cancer cluster" to me. Sometimes there are successful class-action suits in these cases... it takes a few bullheaded activist types in the mix to get things going, though.

And... people... please don't lie to your family about being sick. People who are close to you KNOW when something is wrong, and it just makes them worry even more not knowing what exactly is going on. It's much easier to deal with sickness when everyone knows just what they're dealing with.

I will keep your dad in my prayers, sweetie! :grouphug I know you aren't all that close to your folks but it's still gotta be rough.

Thanks. I didn't cry when I heard the news.....was just a little down yesturday.

Thing is I have been researching this online and am finding the prob is that the gov doesn't want to give out too much money for cancer research in the area......that way they wont be found accountable and have to shell out funds......ya know?
